Okay hi listen to me for a second, this is the first big role for Zach Mendez (who is Lucanis’ voice actor) and I am on my hands and knees begging for you not to be weird towards him when DA:TV comes out. Please remember how people were throwing inappropriate remarks towards Astarion’s va to the point where he doesn’t feel comfortable interacting with the fanbase solo anymore. Please remember that he (and every va) is a person that we do not know

bakugou taking care of you when you're on your period but not in a "omg my cramps hurt so bad" way but in a "i am literally gonna throw up" way
thought i’d change it up and make him the one who gags lol. thank you for this ask bb, even if it is indeed from MONTHS ago……..
he enters the bathroom and gags. you’re changing your pad with the door open, because it’s nothing he didn’t already see a million times.
“hello to you too, boyfriend,” you huff annoyed. your cramps have been killing you all night, and seeing a man (even if it is the boyfriend you have been living with the past three years) makes you feel an indescribable rage. these are the only moments you truly wish you had a dick instead of an uterus.
he clears his throat, but his scowl stays. he knows you tend to be a little bit more moody the first few days of your period, but the sight of your blood outside of your body makes him feel nauseous.
“hi. i’m gonna go. catch ya later,” he rushes out before bolting out of the door towards your kitchen. you sigh, shaking your head. you think by now he’d understand you’re not being brutally killed even if he sees a little red on you, but the pro hero in him doesn’t want to acknowledge this.
you get back to the living room and cover yourself with your soft blanket, trying to sleep a little. it’s your day off from the office, so it’s not like you’re missing anything: being your boyfriend’s assistant has its perks. you feel a warm hand softly caressing your forehead, which is the only thing peeking out from the giant blanket.
“tea?” katsuki asks. you know this is his way of caring. you hum.
“hurts?” he asks again, and you hum for the second time.
you hear him walking away and pouring the hot water he already prepared in advance in case you wanted to drink something warm. you hear the gentle pit-pat of his slippers coming back to the sofa, and you sit up to reach for the cup in his hand.
“i want to curl up in a ball and die,” you mutter before taking a sip.
“you always say this,” he responds, sitting down next to you.
“and i mean it,” you sassily say, looking at him with your brows furrowed. he kisses your forehead, smirking.
“no you don’t,” he chuckles. you playfully shove him.
“i’m sorry for staining the sheets. i promise i’ll wash them once the ibuprofen kicks in,” you sheepishly say, laying your head on his shoulder.
you feel the shiver that runs up his spine. “no use. sleep, i’ll make lunch. i asked eijirou to cover for me today,” he answers before kissing your forehead again and getting up.
“you know i love you, right?” you sigh, laying down and managing to fall asleep in 30 seconds.
you wake up because you feel a big thud in the bathroom. you groggily walk toward it and you find katsuki kneeling down in front of your bathtub. he's the palest you've ever seen him be.
"are you okay?" you ask him, worried he might have hurt himself, maybe by slipping on one of the many puddles of water across the floor.
"i'm fine, fuck. it's just a little blood, why am i acting like such a pussy," he snaps. you're confused, before realizing he's holding onto the sheets from last night. a laugh bubbles inside you and you try to force it down, but he notices it and scowls.
"i did this for you and you're laughing at me?" he looks down at the slightly bloody water in front of him and sits down on the wet floor. "i feel like i might pass the fuck out, no joke," he grunts, closing his eyes and taking big breaths.
you burst out laughing. "i could've done this, you know?" you say between chuckles, kneeling down to take over. he grunts again, muttering something alongside "i wanted to do something nice for you."
the day after you finish your period, you're sitting next to each other on your bed.
"so you find me disgusting, huh?" you tease him, still remembering how he had to lay down for 30 minutes to regain color in his face.
he rolls his eyes, flicking your forehead. "looking at your blood is one of the few things that makes me want to gauge my eyes out. apart from tasting that stupid egg mix my mom gave us the other day," he barks out. you laugh.
"y'know, there's a way to end this," he says in your ear.
you look up with a questioning gaze.
"isn't it time to have a baby?"

Could you do a drunk cuddly Steve if you're feeling up to it?
When Steve comes home to you that night, you evade his hug. “Steve, you smell awful.”
Steve flinches away from you. In any other moment, you’d notice how lovely he looks —there’s something special about the way he squints when he’s pissed off— but his smell is overpowering.
“Sorry?” he asks, offended and confused.
“You’ve got stuff all down you. What is that?” You try to be kinder. It’s not like he smells bad on purpose. “Do you need help?” you ask.
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m gonna take your shirt off,” you say gently.
His scowl relaxes. “You are?”
“What is it, do you know? It doesn’t even smell like beer. It smells like death.”
Steve doesn’t laugh at your joke, he’s not as smiley as you’d like him, but you suppose that’s the perils of telling him he smells. You grab the ends of his shirt and you pull it over his head, careful not to get the wet part on his face, and then you snag a packet of makeup wipes off of your vanity and pull on out to wipe down the skin near his heart that’s still shiny.
“That’s nice,” he says, swaying at your touch.
“Yeah?” You fold the wipe and rub him down. “I’m gonna put that shirt in the laundry. Get in bed, sweetheart.” You touch his face quickly. “Make yourself comfy.”
You forbid his gross shirt to the laundry basket in the bathroom and take a moment to stretch. Steve, though drunk, isn’t doing his usual sweet brigade. You must’ve really offended him when you said he smells. You aim to put it right.
“Sorry,” you say, pushing open your door again. Steve’s done as you told him to do, sitting on his usual side of your bed. “That was mean. You didn’t smell awful, just the shirt.”
You climb onto the bed and kneel in front of him, stroking a perfect lock of hair back from his forehead. “Forgive me?”
Steve winds his arm behind your back. He presses his face to yours, before his head falls into the curve of your neck, where it stays.
“I’m sorry for being gross,” he says, heartily drunk.
“You’re not gross, the beer just surprised me,” you say.
It’s clear he drank more than he tipped, his movements wobbly, but his hand curling protectively behind you in a good effort.
“Oh, hello,” you murmur, “this feels like forgiveness.”
“Some asshole tipped beer on me, I’m sorry.”
“Steve, it’s okay! Don’t say sorry, you smell just fine now.” You take a performative sniff of his hair. “You smell amazing.”
He squeezes you and pushes you down into the bed. He has just enough wits about him to be careful about your head on the headboard, shifting over you, and pulling the blankets up to cover your shoulders. His naked torso presses against your arm, your chest and your stomach, his skin feverishly warm.
“Do you think you can call me sweetheart again?” he asks strangely.
“That depends, will it make you feel better?”
He scoffs, which is more like him. “I won’t beg.”
“No, you asked nicely enough the first time,” you say agreeably.
When he leans back and pulls you into his chest, you feel forgiven for certain. Slowly, you let your nose skirt along the curve of his neck before kissing the shadow of his Adam’s apple.
“Sweetheart,” you say, barely audible, “I love you.”
He’s like an octopus from that point onward. You’re dragged flush to his front with your hand on his collar, his nose and mouth pressed to your forehead. He’s soft underneath you but not without muscle, a strong bicep behind your shoulders squeezing you securely even as he mumbles drunkenly into your skin. “Love you…” And finally, finally, he seems to recuperate from your accusation, “It’s weird when you don’t wanna hug me.”
“I always do. It was purely olfactory related.”
“Ol-what-ery?”
“It wasn’t personal.”
Steve squeezes you until you sigh. “It felt personal.”
“It wasn’t. I just blurted it out. You smell really nice now,” you say, and he does, cologne and skin and sweat, too.
“So you still love me?” he asks.
“I just said I did, didn’t I?”
He wrestles you with both great care and great clumsiness to his face for a tipsy kiss pressed to the corner of your mouth. “Can you tell me again?”
You offer to say it a hundred times, but after twenty he’s snoozing into your shoulder, his thumb stuttering where it lays against your back.

You’re completely out of reality today.
Rintaro’s flight is delayed until who knows what time, the twins brewing in your uterus are obliterating your back and bladder, and the love of your life Kaiya is intent on making your life a project today. With Akito staying at a friends house for a project, it truly is just you at the mercy of 1.8 kids.
You’ve danced the pregnant dance for nine years by now, but this is the first time in a long time you’re just about ready to break down into tears. You don’t know if it’s because you’re exhausted, your hormones are off the chart, or if you’re just so done with being pregnant for the past 8 months that the baby bump you usually adore is just becoming too much to keep.
You feel so sore, so gross from the sweat and other bodily fluid changes that come with twins. Nothing that any pamphlet, and doctor, even the Miya twin’s poor mother taking the time to call you and talk to you about it wasn’t anything to hold a candle to the exhaustion you’re feeling.
Eventually, it must boil over. And you do so without even knowing it, brushing Kaiya’s hair after a bath.
“Why you cryin’, mumma?”
“Huh?” Your hand stills softly, just clutching the hairbrush in your hand.
She turns around to face you, her small hand slowly reaching up to touch your wet cheek, and when you feel the warmth of her hand against your cool tear tracks, you’re quick to sniffle and move to wipe them away. “I’m sorry baby, mommy’s just feeling yucky today.”
Okay. Not what you meant to confess to your little three year old, but immediately, her eyes widen and she moves to crawl on your lap. You pick her up and plop her on your thigh, cradling her and trying your damndest to not wail right there.
“Mumma bootiful, mumma.”
Again, you freeze. You pull away slightly, fat tears rolling down your cheeks with fervor this time. “What…?”
“Mumma bootiful!”
“Mumma’s beautiful?”
“Yeah!”
Your lip wobbles and you tug her closer, “my baby… what did I do to deserve you? My cutie Kaiya.” You give her a flurry of kisses on her cheeks, and it has her giggling in joy.
“Mumma give kisses!”
“Mumma will always give you kisses,” you promise. You plant a few more to her temple, only stopping to take a few minutes to sniff her clean hair, rub her soft cheeks, and enjoy the silence of just you and your little girl.
A sudden kick to your side has you snapped from your daze, and Kaiya gasps excitedly.
“Which baby’s kickin, mumma?” She asks, and you ponder the thought for a minute. “Sachie or Sachiko?”
You think on it, then plant a kiss to her nose, “I think it’s Sachie; I think she’s got daddy’s sassiness, don’t you think?”
“Yeah,” agrees, and with one more kiss to her temple, you nudge her softly to get up.
“Come on, stink. Let’s watch a movie before daddy comes home to ruin the fun.” At your words, she giggles and gets up, bouncing down the halls and leaving you to quickly clean the bathroom.
With a small bowl of veggies and a Disney movie playing on the tv, you pull a blanket over you both and let the calmness of Encanto bring you to a state of being half asleep; You’re not entirely sure when Rintaro finally does come home, but there’s a new movie playing, and Kaiya leaps off the couch excitedly.
“Daddy!”
You hear bags drop and your eyes open exhaustedly in an attempt to greet him, but the heaviness in them lingers as you try to keep them open. You hear Rintaro shushing Kaiya softly, followed by a few plants of wet kisses on her cheek. There’s murmurs of conversation, and you hear Rintaro’s steps coming closer as you stretch. “Hey babydoll; stay comfy, I’ll come get you in a bit.”
“Gotta get the chicken for tomorrow…”
“Huh?”
Kaiya giggles, “mumma still sleeping.”
“Guess so,” he chuckles. He plants a kiss to your head, mumbles to Kaiya to do the same, and your mind is so buried in its exhaustion to process even getting up to greet your man. “Come on Kaiya. Let’s get you to bed.”
“Okay daddy!”
There’s no footsteps that you can process, but you do hear one final thing that has you curling into the warmth of your blanket in search of his embrace.
“Mommy really is beautiful, isn’t she stink?”
“Mumma’s bootiful!”

If your not too busy, can I request and Yandre smut with Seungmin, kinda like he’s a perv best friend type thing, the thought of it has been driving me nuts, only if you can or want to, love your work 🧡
Love the idea ☺️

Tumblr media
Warnings: Yandere! , smut, implied drugging, groping, masterbating?
——————————————— 🧡
Seungmin knew it was a problem. You two have been friends for years and for whatever reason he couldn’t get himself to officially ask you out for a date. It’s not like you’d reject him, especially since you just broke up with a boyfriend. But there was some sort of sick thrill he got from thinking and looking you the way he does without you knowing. Maybe one day he’ll finally do it…
But right now, he felt a little bad. Here you were, telling him about your mixed emotions from the break up and all he was paying attention to was your chest.
You had invited him over to hang out and just vent and Seungmin didn’t mind. He’s been over many times before and you were comfortable at home so you wore some sweatpants and a shirt with no bra. It wasn’t anything scandalous but every once in a while, the shirt would lay flat against your chest, making your nipples show through the fabric. Honestly, you didn’t even notice… but Seungmin did.
“I don’t even know why I’m so upset… he was awful to me.” You frowned while wiping a tear from your cheek. “Literally the worst!”
“Don’t cry, y/n…” Seungmin said while gently rubbing your knee. “It’s normal to feel like this. “You were in that relationship for a good amount of time.”
Seungmin hated your ex. He wanted you to break it off for so long. He wanted to hurt that ex so bad. He didn’t like that man being intimate with you. Seungmin liked watching you pleasure yourself, that other man just got in the way. He has so many pictures…. Beautiful pictures… he can just get lost in the thought of them.
You sighed, knowing that he’s right. It startled the man a bit as he was snapped out of his thoughts. Tears rolled down your cheeks, some, dripping go your shirt before you leaned back on the couch. Seungmin noticed the wet fabric sticking to your skin… and he couldn’t look away. Instead, he continued to rub your knee and move up your thigh but you were too emotional to notice.
“Anyways… I’m sorry for dumping all that on you… you’re probably sick of me now.” You said with a frown. “It’s getting late. You probably wanna go home now…”
“I’m not sick of you.” Seungmin replied. It’s okay to rant. We all need to rant sometimes…” He stood up and paused, thinking of something. “Hey y/n?”
“Yes?”
“I’m really tired. Not sure I wanna drive back home.” He chuckled. “Mind of if I stay over? I can get comfortable on the couch.”
“Oh sure!” You smiled. I’ll get you some blankets and pillows.”
Seungmin smiled as you went to the closet to look for the items. He looked through his bag and found what he needed.
“Hey, do you want some water before bed?”
“Oh sure, I’ll get it—”
“Oh no it’s okay. I’ll get it!” He interrupted. “Just finish what you’re doing.”
“Oh okay.”
~~~~ 🧡
Seungmin gave you the glass of water before you went to get ready for bed. As you got changed, you took a few sips, humming softly while moving some hair from your face and removing any jewelry.
Seungmin waited patiently. He stuffed a small ziplock bag back in his bag, seemingly proud of what he’s done. Now all he needed to do was wait. And it didn’t take too long. You don’t even have the energy to turn off your lamp before passing out on the bed, hand next to the empty glass.
Once knowing you were asleep, Seungmin quietly creeped in and looked at your sleeping form. The covers were at your hips and shirt slightly raised.
So beautiful… he thought to himself as he gently lowered the sheets and moved your arm to your side.
“My god…” the man whispered to himself. “How come you’re so hot..? So sexy….” He grunted a bit, as if frustrated. “You do this on purpose… you let that other man fuck you… fuckin disgusting…”
His fingers traced your stomach before lifting your shirt over your bare breasts. He paused for a moment, his hand hovering over your cold hard nipple. “You don’t mind, hm? I mean… you are mine…”
He lightly groped your breasts, taking a deep breath as he felt himself getting aroused so quickly. “G-god, y/n… the things you do to me…”
You let out a small moan as he squeezed your breast a bit hard. It was making Seungmin lose it; his pants were incredibly tight and uncomfortable.
“F-fuckin bitch…” he grunts. “You do this on purpose…”
Seungmin couldn’t help himself. He was rubbing his bulge over his pants while taking deep breaths.
You only moved slightly, a light moan escaped your lips but not much else. But even that slightest noise was getting Seungmin way too worked up.
The man continued tracing his fingers down your body, pausing at your panties. He found the frilly pink material so cute.
“Why oh why…” he sighed while rubbing the material. “Why did you let such a man touch you… he was stupid….” Seungmin continued rubbing circles around your clothed cunt. “You were always mine… I know everything about you… and yet… you never gave me a chance…”
Again, you let out more breathy moans but still unmoving.
“Even while sleeping, you’re getting wet.” He chuckled. “You really are desperate for me huh?”
Slowly and gently, he slid the pink panties off of you and quickly slipped it in his pocket. He was mesmerized by the way your slick wetness stuck to the material. it was making his face hot and it took everything in him not to fuck you right then and there. He could wait to use them later.
Seungmin then moved the blanket back over your waist and took your limp arm. “I know you’re desperate. But do you know how desperate you make me?” He asked as if you were actually supposed to answer. “Well. You can feel.”
He unzipped his jeans and moved your limp hand to his boxers, touching it to his hardened bulge over the material.
“Maybe by the end of the night you’ll realize…” he paused and took deep breaths as he moved your hand. “Y-you’ll realize… you’re mine… and only… mine…”
How to Become a Step-Dad in 5 Easy Steps: ch.3/5 of p.2
First, prev, next, lore, ao3
OK SO- I’ve been working on this for months and I was actually supposed to have it done like a month ago but my parents took me on the last minute vacation to another country to visit family and I didn’t have access to my laptop most of the time. But it’s okay bc the timing worked out! I wrote most of this on my phone actually and I’m posting it from there too so I hope the formatting isn’t weird. Our flight back is tonight and we’re in a different time zone so I really hope this is going up at the correct time. Anyways I tried to make this chapter longer so I hope it’s worth it. Thanks for sticking around to read this and I’ll let you start now.
-Strega p.s Happy 4th of July!
~~~
Chapter description:
Danny and Jason comfort each other after a rough night, Jason teams up with Duke to stop a villain, and Jason spends the 4th of July with the Nightingales.
~~~
Everything was hot. Someone was laughing. Someone was crying. It's all too loud but he can't hear a thing. It was so hot. He could taste the bitterness in the air. His face ached. It's too much. All the textures overwhelm him but he can’t feel a thing. It was too hot. All he can see is rows of black upon gray, but he can't really see anything at all. He couldn’t- he couldn’t breathe. His forehead was wet and sticky. Why was it wet and sticky? Why was it so goddamn hot?!
With a desperate gasp for air, Jason launched up into a sitting position on his bed. He supported his body with one hand and the other pushing back his white, sweat-soaked fringes out of his eyes. He sat there for a few moments, just panting, trying to regain some semblance of control over his breathing. He felt a warm sweat drip down his face and back. It made his skin crawl.
He looked around his dark room and then down at his messy sheets for a moment, before pulling off the blanket and flinging himself off the bed. He couldn't stand the idea of staying there a minute longer. Not right now.
He stalked out of his bedroom and into his living area. He didn't want to stay inside. The thought of being in an enclosed space right now gave him the hives, no matter how spacious the apartment might be. Even if it's bigger than a coffin. Even if it's smaller than a warehouse. He can't see the sky. He's closed in.
Instead, he pushes open his window and pulls himself out onto the fire escape. It's not particularly open, facing into an alley, but it offers privacy and is heaps better than being inside. He slumps down against the brick wall of the building, feet planted and knees bent. He looks up and takes a breath trying to calm himself. Even with all the smog and Gotham's perpetual cloud cover, Jason is grateful to see the sky. He half-wished it was a clear night so he could see the stars. The other half didn't. It didn't think he could handle seeing the stars peeking out through the smog. It would look too much like a night sky tainted with smoke and bad memories.
His mouth felt dry as he clenched and stretched his hands. He almost wished for a cigarette or a joint, (no he didn't, he didn't want to see the smoke, to feel the heat of the slow burn) but the thought made his lungs constrict and he felt bile rise in his throat. Instead, he alternated between closing his eyes and taking several deep breaths, and gazing at the lights and laundry lines. Even in the sticky city heat of a Gotham summer Jason shuddered from the cool night air.
Suddenly, he heard metal creaking and his eyes snapped open. His head jerked to the side where the sound had come from. A few feet away, on the adjacent fire escape, stood a figure slumped over the rail. They must have also sensed his presence because they turned to meet Jason's gaze.
Before him stood a haggard Danny Nightingale with dark circles under his eyes and a head of bed hair. He wore an old worn-out shirt for a band called Dumpty Humpty, and a pair of basketball shorts that came down to his knees. Faintly, Jason could make out a faded scar on his calf. (Not that Jason had been staring at his legs or anything!) Jason soon became aware of Danny's own eyes assessing him as well. He felt his face heat up and was grateful that he slept in sweats and a white tank tonight.
And the two of them stayed there for a while, on their fire escapes. Two souls in the haunted hours before morning, looking worse for wear, just staring at each other as the world continued on around them.
Then, Danny weakly gave Jason a wry grin and in a rough voice he said,
" Hey, neighbor."
" Hey," Jason replied hoarsely, with a small grin forming on his face. "Funny running into you here, huh?"
There was a brief pause where the two continued to stare at each other, suppressing the quickly growing urge to laugh.
Danny broke first.
" Pffffffft, you dork!"
The two of them burst out laughing and the atmosphere grew lighter. The ever-present smog and darkness seemed to lift and the shadows haunting them seemed to fade.
Danny bubbled up with giggles that rang in Jason’s ear like a familiar song coming on on the radio. Jason looked at him softly in quiet wonderment. Well, I guess that’s where Ellie got her laugh from.
Jason heaved himself off the ground and walked over to the railing closest to Danny, who was just coming down from his high. He leaned over, one arm on the railing and the other coming up to support his jaw. He gave Danny a tired smile.
“Hey,” he said once more.
“Hey yourself,” came Danny’s soft reply.
Then the two, now standing closer, took a moment to examine each other once more. Danny took note of Jason’s sweat and unsteadiness. Jason could now see that Danny’s hands shook lightly and were covered in faded, barely-there scars. They met each other’s eyes and both just felt like the other understood.
Tonight hadn’t been a good night for either of them. But they didn’t need to talk about it right now. No, for now the two could just bask in each others presence The air filling with a certain solidarity and what felt like a near-tangible sense of mutual comfort.
Jason turned away first, observing the way light and shadow danced across alley walls and how the clothes on clotheslines fluttered in the night breeze. Danny followed his gaze in suit, trying to identify what Jason saw out in the city.
“ Ya know for being such a hell-hole Gotham really does have a subtle beauty to it.”
Jason turned to look a Danny with mock offense.
“Hey! Gotham may be a hell-hole but it’s our hell-hole! Just ask any true Gothamite, the city has a way sinking itself into ya.”
Danny looked almost amused by this statement, but nodded in understanding.
“Yeah, I think I kinda get it. It really sucked back home, but it was still home, ya know? And I agree, Gotham does have her ways of making you feel like she’s a part of you. We’ve only been here bout a month or so but I already feel like Ell and I are well on our way to become city slickers through and through.”
Jason chuckled, shaking his head and bringing his arm down to stand up straight. He decide to pursue the opening Danny had left.
“Speaking of Ell, she the reason your up so late?”
“Naw,” Danny’s smile grew a bit strained. “My little spitfire may have a lotta energy but the girl sleeps like the dead.” He grew a more subdued, looking down at his hands.
“Nah, this was something else.”
“Nightmare?” He probed gently.
Danny nodded.
Taking a breath, Jason said “Me too,” in a show of vulnerability that he found came surprisingly easy. Danny glanced at him sympathetically.
“You wanna talk about it?”
“Kinda, but at the same time not really?”
Danny nodded as if he understood perfectly. Once more a comfortable silence overtook they began to shift closer. Even with the space between their fire escapes they felt impossibly close.
Danny interrupted the quiet with a light chuckle and Jason returned him a questioning glance. Danny shook his head,
“ Nothing I just think it’s kinda ironic we both came out to our fire escapes to escape our bad dreams.” He paused as his face clouded with confusion. “ Or at least I think it’s irony? Would you call it irony?”
“I think it might actually be symbolism but fuck if I know. I don’t have the mental capacity to figure which literary devices apply to our situation right now but remind me to come back to it later.”
Danny hummed in amusement before taking a deep breath.
“ I think I wanna talk about it.”
“Hmm?” Jason raised an eyebrow
“ I think I wanna talk about my dream.”
In a split second Jason makes a impulsive decision.
“Hold on,” he says, before climbing over the railing and extending his foot over to reach Danny’s fire escape.
“ What are you doing, ya maniac?!” Danny asked incredulously at Jason’s actions.
Jason stepped over onto the fire escape and shrugged as he walked over to Danny, “This felt like something I should be close for.”
The startled man seemed to loosen up and sunk to sit on the platform with his back to the railing. Jason joined him on the floor. They sat shoulder to shoulder, Danny staring at his trembling hand, and Jason, staring at him. Jason hand crept towards Danny’s, gentle taking it and interlacing the fingers.
Danny’s head swiveled to look at him and Jason returned him a gentle look and a squeezed his hand reassuringly. Faintly, the young man smiled and squeezed back. He took a deep breath and began.
" So you remember how you found my groceries in an alley the other day?”
Jason nodded.
“ Yeah well, the reason I left them there was because some mugger tried to kidnap Ellie. I ditched the groceries to grab her and get home.”
“ You did a smart thing,” Jason continued to nod as if he didn’t already know exactly what happened that day.
“ Mm I don’t doubt that, Ellie’s safety will always be my first priority. But the whole thing kinda brought up old fear. Some old … memories.”
A distant look grew on his face and Jason’s heart burned with sadness and anger for his friend.
“ The dream started out back in that alley. I had just pulled Ellie back into my arms but when I turned around it wasn’t the mugger standing there. It was Vlad.” Danny’s breath staggered before he continued.
“He started saying stuff about taking Ellie back since he’s the one who made her. The one who had wanted her originally, never mind that he’d lost interest after realizing she was a girl and not his perfect son. But he kept saying things about how he had more life experience and was better equipped to raise her. How he’d be able to do better than me and provide more for her. And for me, if I let him. I hated it. I hated him for leveraging his age and wealth to try to get into our lives again. I didn’t have many reservations about punching him in the face about it either.”
Danny tightened his grip around Jason’s hand. He squeezed back in what he hoped was a reassuring manner.
“I turned to leave but at the mouth the alley was a van. And not one of those stereotypical white vans they warn you kidnappers use. No. No, it was my parents’ van. They slid open the door and and I felt like I couldn’t move. I looked down and Ellie was gone. They-” the words started getting choked up in his throat. His eyes becoming glassy as he fought with his next words.
“ They wanted to take her too. They said they still loved me even though I was different and that they could fix me.” His voice grew frantic and shaky. “They thought they could ‘fix me’ but that Ellie’s existence was unnatural. That it’d be better if they took her and tried to raise in a ‘normal’ environment, especially if she showed signs of being unnatural too!”
Danny turned his face into Jason’s shoulder, trying to fight back tears.
“ And I know they don’t actually think like that- that I need to be fixed, at least not anymore. But, the idea that they’d try to take her from me? Raise her better than I could? It tore me up inside. How could they want to raise her when the barely raised me and my sister? When my sister raised me more than they did? How could I trust them not to get her involved in experiments when they still store chemical samples the same fridge as our food? How could I trust them when I told them I didn’t want to be around Vlad and they still let him into our house? Because ‘We’ve know good ol’ Vladdie since college! Nothing to worry about with him!’ even though I told them I-!”
He paused trying to catch his breath. Jason lifted his other arm to wrap around the crying young man, tucking him under his chin. Danny shifted, now shuddering into his chest. Jason could feel the Pits ignite a fire in soul. His blood boiled and a voice cried out for blood in recompense for his friend’s pain.
‘What type of shitty parents-! No. Later’ he tried to reign in the voice. ‘Being here for him now is more important.’ He held the other even closer.
Finally, Danny calmed himself enough to continue, “ I know they don’t think that now. I know that they love me and, and Ellie too- and I still love them too and I know that they want to be better. But they just don’t get it. That there’s a lot of reasons I don’t want to be around them anymore. Reasons I don’t bring Ellie around if I can help it. Even though it was just a dream I couldn’t handle the idea that they- that anyone might try to take Ellie from me.”
Jason tilted his head slightly to press a soft, comforting, kiss on the top of Danny’s head. He rubbed small circles on his back and murmured gently in his ear,
“It’s okay Danny. It’s okay to be mad and upset and scared. From the sounds of it you have ever right to be. It’s okay for you to worry. I have a friend ya know. He’s a recovered addict, started getting extra serious about staying sober when his ex dropped a daughter off on his doorstep because he was worried at every turn that if he slipped up or relapsed someone would take her away. I know that it’s not the same but I think every parent is entitled to worrying over losing their kid. And it sounds like your own parents haven’t done you too many favors in minimizing the worry. But you don’t have to hold yourself back from being afraid. You’re allowed to be afraid, or upset or whatever else you might be feeling.”
He finally let go of Danny’s hand in order to hold him properly, once again shifting their positions. Now, they sat perpendicularly, with Danny partway into his lap, pressed against his chest. After a while Danny wiped his tears, whispering out a thanks to Jason and allowed himself to be comforted.
They sat in delicate silence until Jason finally worked up the nerve to speak.
“So you probably know who I am right?”
Danny lifted his head from Jason’s chest to give him a confused eyebrow raise. “Yeah I think I’d know whose lap I’m on right now?”
“Not like that,” Jason blushed. “ I mean since you asked about volunteering you must know who I am in a larger context right?”
“ You mean do I know you’re beloved Gotham celebrity and non-profit worker: Jason Todd-Wayne? Because I do. I did research this city before moving here, believe it or not. Actually I remember seeing a bunch of articles about how one of Gotham’s beloved sons had returned home with your picture around that time?”
Jason touched the back of his neck, glancing away in embarrassment.
“Uh yeah that, so you’ve probably hear about my- uuh, ‘resurrection’, huh?”
Danny’s expression sobered up. His eyes darkened and his voice got all quiet, likely due to the serious nature of the discussion.
“Yeah, I did. The media claimed you had been in a kidnapping turned terrorist attack slash hostage situation? And that you had managed to survive and were taken in by family who help you recover and reconnect with your dad once you were ready?” Danny recounted the cover story they’d given to the public. There was something in his tone that made Jason think there was more he wasn’t mentioning but it was likely all speculation or more sensitive details.
“Was-… was that what your dream was about?”
Jason bowed his head into Danny’s shoulder, not having it in him to say it to his face.
“Yeah,” he mumbled. “It was.”
“Oh.”
Now it was Danny’s turn to hold Jason tight, one arm one his back and the other coming up to pet his hair, gently pressing the larger man further into his shoulder. It felt like something cracked open inside him. Suddenly, words came tumbling out before he could even think about them.
“ I was back in that warehouse. Laying on the ground, injured. I could hear someone crying. And- *gulp* -and his laughter before the explosion. It was … so hot. And when I woke up I couldn’t stand the thought of being trapped inside. The same way I was trapped … during some of the worst moments of my life. And I know I’m not there anymore but I’m still terrified by the memory! Sometimes I still get scared the man who took me the first time will find me again and I just-!”
He choked on a sob as Danny held him even tighter, as if trying to melt him into his skin.
“I just hated feeling that way so much!” He whimpered.
“It’s okay Jay, I’m here big guy. You can let it out.”
And for the first time in a long while Jason allowed himself to cry freely, sobbing into his neighbor’s shoulder. Danny continued to stroke his hair, rocking gentle as one would when comforting a child. But maybe that sort of gentleness was what Jason needed.
Once he heard Jason’s sobs subside Danny took a deep breath and spoke.
“You know what?”
“What?” Jason asked lifting his head to gaze into Danny’s icy blue eyes.
“I’m kinda glad I ended up out here tonight. I mean the nightmare sucked but at least I got to be here for you.” He smiled softly, “I’m in your corner if you ever need me.”
Jason couldn’t help the soft smile that worked it’s way onto his face.
“Yeah, me too. I’ll be there if you ever need help, with anything: Ellie, Vlad, your parents, your groceries.”
Danny giggled at that last part, knowing Jason was sincere. With a sigh he rested his cheek on Jason’s chest. Jason reach down to hold his hand again and the two enjoyed the feeling of holding someone who held them back.
With a sigh, Danny lifted his gaze from their hands to Jason’s face. Jason gave him a closed-mouth smile, his eyes asking if something was wrong.
“It’s the 4th of July in a few days.” He stated.
“Yes, it is.” Jason said back.
“If it’s not too short notice, Ellie and I would love to have you over again. We were gonna have barbecue and ice cream and then come out here and see if we could catch the fireworks. She’d love it if you could join us, and … and, well I would too.”
Jason swore Danny was looking at him with the biggest, roundest, most earnest eyes he’d ever seen, save for his daughter’s.
“ I’ll be there.”
Danny flushed at his quick response.
“Don’t wanna check your schedule first?”
“Doesn’t matter. I didn’t have anything else planned so I’ll do my best to be there.” He made sure the shorter man’s eyes met his as he said his next words. “Besides, I like spending time with the two of you too.”
‘His ears are pink, he’s just adorable.’ He thought to himself as Danny seemed brighten in a shy glow. He shifted in Jason’s lap, probably getting ready to get up when he did something that cause Jason to blue screen.
Danny tilted his head up planting a quick peck on his cheek before squeaking out a “see you then” and fleeing back into his apartment, leaving a wide-eyed Jason on the floor of his fire escape.
Jason sat there stunned, before a furious blush over took his face and decided to hurry back into his own apartment. The voice in his head came back to give its routine comments: ‘His lips are so soft, the stuff of dreams’
He somehow managed to blush even more violently. ‘Damn it’ he thought, shoving his head under his pillow, unable to tell whether he actually wanted to dream about Danny’s lips or not. ‘It’s actually embarrassing how worked I’m getting over a fleeting kiss on the cheek from a friend.’
~
~Bzzt~ “Calling for back up! Firefly decided to start his annual firework show early this year!” ~Bzzt~ Signal called through the emergency comms.
Jason cursed his luck, of course Firefly would attack just as he got off work! Now he might be late to dinner! He sighed and tried to look on the bright-side: If they dealt with this now that meant it was less likely for any of the other rouges to try anything later. Then, the comm crackled back to life.
~Bzzt~ “I could have got him by now but he keeps lightin’ more shit on fire! By the time I get the first fires under control and punch him in the face, he’s started 20 more! Normally I’d be able to handle it, but there’s a lot of civilians around right now and fires take priority. I just need someone to help me keep the guy down long enough to make the arrest.” ~Bzzt~
Jason started ducking through alleys trying to get to his near safe house in order to grab his gear. Hey called back to Duke over the comms.
“Signal, heard! I just got off work. See if you can herd him towards the Alley. It’ll give the Red Hood an excuse to show up and beat the shit outa him while you make sure nothing actually gets damaged. I’m heading to the safe house near the Catherine Johnson Rec Center. Try to get him at least two blocks away!”
~Bzzt~ “Heard!” ~Bzzt~
Jason tossed the comm to the side and started strapping into his body armor. He started fastening his helmet when felt something in the air change. Then the comms buzzed to life once more.
~Bzzt~ “Hood, I’ve got Firefly coming your way! He’s heading up Delancy Ave.!” ~Bzzt~
Hood readied his grapple on shot.
“Good, keep him there! I’ll see you in 5, Narrows!”
~Bzzt~ “On it! I’ll be waiting Alley!” ~Bzzt~
Jason swung through the rooftops, heading in the direction of the fires that kept spontaneously appearing and subsequently being extinguished.
When he arrived Hood found Signal split between stopping fires and engaging Firefly in combat. The madman was so absorbed in antagonizing Signal that he hadn’t noticed Hood’s approach. Signal was handling him pretty well but being unable to focus solely on the villain lowered his efficiency. Jason’s mind wandered back to his friend, who had wanted to see him tonight, and decided he’d end this quickly.
You see for all his bulk and bullheadedness Jason was still a highly trained and intelligent individual. Maintaining the element of surprise he approached in the shadows silently looking down from his perch on an adjacent building. He made subtle gestures for Signal to move the guy into place, which he returned with the slightest of nods. Signal moved Firefly over to the side of the building closest to Jason’s position. Jason got ready took make use of his high ground, tapping into what he learned from Dick.
With a deep breath Jason runs up and launches himself into a triple forward somersault, building up power and momentum. In midair he took account of his bearings, aiming his feet at Firefly’s back.
Firefly goes down like he’s been hit by a semi.
“AND THATS WHY YOU STAY OUTA THE ALLEY FUCKER!” Jason shouts, crouching over the rouge who was quickly losing consciousness. Even though it’d been his plan to lure him here Jason was still protective of what was his. And Crime Alley? Crime Alley was his territory.
He stands up and gives Signal a celebratory high five.
“Nice going, ya tank! I thought he’d never go down!”
“No problem, Dayshift! Nice work handling him, you’d have gotten him eventually. I just sped up the process.”
“Thanks Hood, I ‘preciate it.”
“Soooo, you good here oorrr…?”
“Yeah, I’ve got it. Get outa here before the cops show up and arrest you,” Signal dismissed him.
Jason gave him a quick, two-finger salute before running off to change before he was late to dinner.
~
Jason arrives at the Nightingales’ red faced and out of breath. His hair is a windswept mess and his clothes slightly messy from his quick change. He knocks on the door desperately trying to tame his hair and adjust his t-shirt and jeans.
Jason feels a burst of cool air as the door opens and he’s greeted by a smiling Danny and a surprised Ellie. He smiles at the two but Danny speaks before he’s got the chance.
“ Surprise! It’s Jason!” He says with some mild jazz hands.
To which seem to Ellie explode in glee. Jason swears she’s vibrating with how fast she’s bouncing.
“The secret surprise guest was Mr. Jason! Awesome!”
And just like that there is small child attached to his leg. He looks down at her, then up at Danny, whos holding in laughter, then back at Ellie. Then he bursts out laughing. He bends down down to scoop the young girl up into his arms and she lets out a small “whoa!” Jason follows Danny into the apartment, Ellie resting on his hip.
“It’s nice to see you to princess!”
“Mr. Jason! You’re not wearing any red!”
“Huh?”
He looks down to see the young girl scrutinizing his plain white shirt and blue jeans and looks questioningly at Danny. The young man takes pity on him and explains.
“Ellie really wanted to wear red, white and blue for the 4th of July,” gesturing to his own outfit: a pair of blue jeans, a white shirt with a logo for a band called Fifth World Raga, and a lightweight red flannel wit the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
“That’s right! I have a white skirt and socks, and a blue top and tiara, and my cardigan, my sneakers and beanie are all red!” She showed off. Then she pointed at Jason.
“You’ve gotta white shirt and blue jeans but no red!” Then she gasped, “Oooooh! I have an idea! Wait here!” She said, scrambling off to her room.
Jason looked at Danny who smiled and shrugged helplessly in a “eh, whadda ya gonna do” sort a fashion. To which Jason just huffed in amusement.
That’s when Ellie rushed back in, holding something behind her back. She patted Jason’s thigh indicating for him to bend down, to which he obliged by crouching down to her level.
“Close your eyes!”
Jason shut his eyes. He felt something being placed around his neck and on his head.
“Open them!”
Jason found himself looking into a small purple hand held mirror. Ellie had placed a cheap red-beaded party necklace around his neck and a silver tiara with red gems on his head, one to match her own silver and blue one.
“I have lotsa tiaras so you can borrow this one so that you can have red! And you can even keep the necklace!”
Jason’s internal monologue nearly burst into tears. ‘She’s an angel! She’s bestowed such a wonderful gift Must. Protect. At All Costs!’
He heard Danny burst into laughter but focused his attention on the grinning girl in front of him.
“Thank you so much Princess! I love it! Just what I needed! I’m honored to receive such a thoughtful gift!
“Yeah Ellie, it looks great on him!” Danny chimed in between chuckles.
“That’s great daddy b’cause I found a white one for you! Now we can all match!”
Danny stopped laughing and Jason returned him a wicked grin.
“Yeah, your highness! We can all match! Besides, what’s a king without his crown!”
Danny sighed, placing the tiara on his head.
“Thanks Ell, I love it.”
“Your welcome daddy!”
“Alright, now go wash your hands for dinner!”
“Okay!”
And the girl scurried off to wash her hands. Jason grinned at the interaction. He waited till the girl was gone before turning to Danny.
“Looking good your highness,” he teased.
“Oh, hush you!” Danny flushed. “Come help me set the table. It’s not a traditional barbecue but I made some chili, hotdogs, veggie skewers, and some coleslaw. We’ve also got fruit salad and some soda pop in the fridge. Ellie wanted to do a homemade version of chili dogs and I had to insist on some fruits and veggies in there. Ancients knows she needs her nutrients! If you could be a dear and grab some plates off the drying rack that’d be great!”
“Of course, your highness! You had me at chili,” Jason said following Danny into the kitchen.
~
Later that evening after finishing up with dinner. Danny herded them all onto the fire escape with some frozen treats. Ellie had drumstick ice cream cone, Jason an ice cream bar, and Danny an orange popsicle.
“I don’t know if we’ll be able to see the fireworks from here but fingers crossed we do. Just don’t be too disappointed if you can’t see them alright Ell?” Danny told his daughter.
“It’s okay daddy! Even if I don’t see the fireworks I still have you and Mr. Jason and my ice cream!”
Jason and Danny looked at each other sharing the same thoughts: ‘She’s so precious!!!!’
Then the tell tale boom of fireworks started and the trio turned their attention to the sky. A streak of red danced across the sky before it burst into a shower of ruby colored sparks. Then came gold, and green and blue and white. One after another in a barrage of sound and color. And they were just able to see it above the end of the alley.
Ellie let out an awed “Whooooaaaa” as she watched the colors dance across the sky. She turned back to her dad tugging on his sleeve and point up at the sky. He chuckled, picking her up to give her a better view pointing at the sky with her saying, “Look at that one!”
It was near enough to make Jason’s own heart burst.
“Beautiful.”
“I know right!” Danny said, glancing back at him, talking about the fireworks. Silently, Jason thought about the way both of the Nightingales’ glossy black hair reflected the fireworks colors in their sheen.
Then Danny turned to hand his phone to Jason.
“Would you mind taking a picture of us?” He asked. “I never had many growing up and I want this to be something she’ll remember.” Looking back down at the child on his hip.
“Of course I can,” he said, taking the phone in his hand. “Smile!”
Jason looked down at the photo he snapped when he saw something that made his heart stall. It was a good photo, both Danny and Ellie smiling at the camera while the remains of a fireworks fell behind them in a shower of fading light. What stopped him in his tracks was the soft look on his own reflection in the window of the apartment staring at Danny and Ellie.
And he realized, ‘Oh. I like Danny’
And he doesn’t know when he zoned out and missed Danny taking his phone back, but he zones right back in when two arms are thrown over his shoulders and suddenly he’s in a selfie sandwich. Both Nightingales press close, Ellie throwing up a peace sign while Danny snaps the photo.
The two laugh at his startled face and he can’t help the laugh that bursts out of him.
“Hey! I wanna redo!”
~
That night Jason tosses and turns in bed while his brain replays images of Danny: his smile, his lips, his laugh, the way he licks an ice pop. If he hadn’t realized earlier then he definitely knows now.
Jason Todd has an undeniable, unequivocal crush on Daniel Nightingale.
~~~ I tried with that fight scene but I don’t have a lotta experience there. I know this is a fluff fic so sorry to angst you but it’s necessary for hurt/comfort. Have some “Jason accepts his feelings” to make up for it. Sorry if it’s too clunky or dialogue heavy. I’m open to constructive criticism so let me know what you think.
Fifth World Raga is a real band in the DCU their a rock band and their music is described as quote “spiritual in nature” so I feel like it fit Danny’s vibe.

Hey Brother, pt 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: in the present, you and Armando have an even rockier start.
authors note: read part 1 if you haven’t already. This one is mostly in Armando’s POV which I think is extraordinarily important.
Read Part 1 Here
Tumblr media
Armando let the water run over him, each splash hitting a wound, causing him to wince.
The fight with McGrath’s people had been tougher on his body than he thought, and truthfully, on that tiny boat floating adrift, he didn’t think he’d make it here alive.
Luckily he had, trailing blood up the stairs and into your apartment as he waited for you to come home.
Mike had instructed him to come here and stay until things died down, until there could be some type of resolution for him, one that wouldn’t require more jail time.
He had said you would be fine with it, that you wouldn’t hesitate to help.
Armando wasn’t worried about that, he could see it in the way you’d placed a blanket over him, tucking him in, and stitching him together.
What he was worried about, truly, was facing you.
Yes, big bad assassin Armando was afraid to face his baby sister.
He couldn’t pin point why, exactly.
Maybe it was a mixture of fear, anger…guilt.
Guilt that you, his own little sister, almost died because of him all those nights ago.
Fear that you’d always be afraid of him and what he could do to you.
Anger that he even had to got through any of this shit at all.
Armando’s ran a wet hand through his sleek black hair, dragging water through his strands.
His fist shook and he wanted so desperately to punch something, but this wasn’t his place and he didn’t want to make things worse than what they already were.
So he took a deep breath, counted to ten, and then turned the shower off.
He climbed out of the shower, wrapping himself in the towel you had given him, walked out of the bathroom, droplets of water still coating him.
He tried to be as quiet as possible when closing the bathroom door as not to disturb you.
From the hallway he could see you sat on the couch, a bowl of cereal to your right, textbooks and pencils to your left.
You were studying with soft music trilling in the background, your glasses hung low on the bridge of your nose and your curly hair sprawled out.
Armando felt frozen in time as he observed you.
He hadn’t the slightest clue who your mother was or what she looked like, or the story between her and your father.
But from what he could see, you did look somewhat like Mike. Your brown eyes, thick, dark hair, warm brown skin and rotund face.
The only thing missing was his height, really.
Armando continued to watch as you turned a page in your text book, “you know staring isn’t polite, right?” You said, not looking up from your studies.
Armando coughed, adjusting himself. “I wasn’t staring.” He lied.
“Okay.” You roll your eyes. “Sure.”
“Why would I be staring at you?’ Armando trudged on.
You raised a brow, snatching off your glasses. “I don’t know, you tell me? Perhaps you’re planning to drug me again.”
Armando huffed. “Trust me, princesa, if I wanted to do anything to you, I’d have done it already.”
You look up at him, your eyes widening and your mouth opening and closing like a fish. “That’s not comforting…at all.”
“I’m not going to hurt you.” Armando reassured again, a pang tugging in his chest.
You didn’t trust…and some part of him felt the same about you. What was to stop you from calling the cops on him right now? Especially since Mike dumped him on you without so much as an explanation.
But in another breath it somehow hurt that you didn’t trust him. Wasn’t that part of being an older brother, trusting that he’d never hurt you?
“Why, because we’re family?” You question.
Armando frowned at that word, his nose scrunching. “No,’ his next words were slow to come out. “Because you’re not worth it.”
You scoff, gathering your things. “Wow.”
Armando watches you gather all your study materials in a haste, not sparing him anything more than a cold shoulder.
“Have whatever you’d like,’ you brush past him. “Because you're right, I'm not worth it, to anyone.” You slam your bedroom door in his face, leaving Armando with his thoughts.
Armando threw his head back with a sigh before gathering the clothes you had laid out for him and slipping them on.
Of course they hardly fit.
But that was the least of his worries right now.
The FBI was undoubtedly after him, he had wounds all over his body, he was shaking with his long-lost little sister who hates him, and he hasn’t the slightest clue when he’d be free from all this.
All the lies.
All the trauma.
All the pain.
It be a miracle if he could shake it all.
You force captures his attention, washing over his thoughts and beckoning him towards your door.
Armando leans against the wood, getting a better shot of your conversation.
“Dad?” You whisper.
“Babygirl, are you okay?” Mike asks.
“Am I okay?’ You scoff. “No I’m not okay! You completely violated my privacy by sending him here, not to mention I had his literal blood on his hands and I’m complicit in a fucking crime!”
“Hey! Watch your mouth.” Mike said, sternly.
“Really, my language is your biggest concern right now? Not the fact that you are the one who’s being disrespectful by going behind my back and brining him here!”
Armando winced at the conviction in your voice, you really didn’t like him. And if he was honest, you had no reason too.
Mike was silent for a beat before he responded. “You’re right.” He sighed. “I was just trying to do right by him. Do you know how it feels, having missed out on nearly thirty years of his life, knowing he was lied to and mislead?”
“No, I don’t. But I know how it feels to be thrust into an impossible situation just to make everyone else feel better.’ You sniffled. “I mean dad, I get that he’s your son…but I’m your daughter, and you could have at least taken into consideration how much this sucks for me too! Or even the fact that I’m fucking terrified of him!”
Mike sighs. “I know, I’m sorry.”
“If you know, why couldn’t he have stayed with you and Christine?”
“It would have to much of a risk for us.”
Armando jumps at the sound of something crashing behind the door. “What about me! Do you even care about how I fucking feel!”
“I do baby girl!”
“No you don’t, ever since you found out he was your son, you’ve been obsessed with redeeming him because of your own fucking guilt. So much to the point where you’ve put me in the backseat!”
“That’s not true!”
“Yes it is,’ you growl. “It was him, then Christine, Callie and Judie, and I just fall wherever else. If you feel all this guilt for all these people, you should have at least saved some for me.”
“Why would I save guilt for you, huh?” Mike said, clearly getting angry now.
“You know what,’ you took a deep breath. “I really hope your find a home for your murderous, bastard son soon, because I’m done being the pile you load all your shit on.”
“Don’t—,”
The line when dead before Mike could let out another word.
Armando swallows the last of your words a sharper knife than any he'd ever been stabbed with.
And maybe it wasn't exactly your words that hurt but the fact that you hadn't been lying.
Mike had been obbssesed non-stop with finding the good in all the bad things he'd done, like finding a shining diamond in a dirty, muddied pond; a miracle and an impossibilty.
Instead, he should have been focused on mending the fallout his actions left the both of you, in particular you.
Armando almost felt bad for you.
No, he did feel bad for you.
You were only seventeen when he kidnapped you, he and his mother threatening your life several times, only for you to find out it was all over a lie.
One big, fat fucking lie.
And instead of your father being there for you, shielding you from your greatest trauma, he exploited it by bringing Armando here.
It hit him then, maybe it wasn't hurt he felt when it came to you...maybe it was empathy.
He knew exactly how you felt.
Being exploited by a parent sucked, let alone two.
Armando wasn't sure what came over him, but he found himself knocking on your bedroom door.
It took a few minutes, but eventually you opened up the door.
Your brown eyes were swollen with tears and your bed was a clear mess of fustration and anger.
"I'm not apologizing for anything I said."
"I'm not asking you to."
"What do you want?"
"To apologize.' He swallowed.
You let out a low, sad chuckle. "For what?"
"I don't really know yet, maybe because I know no one's said it to you yet." He admits. "And if anything, you and I both deserve it."
Armando watches you straighten. "And why's that?"
"Because our parents suck."
You shrug. "That's true."
"So, I'm sorry."
"For our parents sucking?"
"Yes...no, I don't know. Look, I just don't want us to hate each other."
"I don't hate you." You say, using your feet to play with the hem of your pants.
"It sounded like you did back there." Armando nods to your cellphone.
"I was upset....I didn't think you'd hear all that."
"You were pretty loud."
"Well it is my house, and you did break in...so."
Armando sighs, "Touché."
"So now what?" You say.
"What?"
"You just say sorry and then what? Do we act like some happy family or do we skate around each other?"
"Up to you."
You sigh, playing with your nailbeds.
"Do you like ramen?" You eventually ask.
Armando shurgs. "I've had worse."
You leave your room. "I'll take that as a yes."
It wasn't much, but at least you were sitting across from him, enjoying a bowl of spicy ramen instead cowering away in fear.
For a moment, Amrando could actually enjoy some peace, a little calm before the storm.
He never imagined it be with the sister he never knew he had.
Life is really...something.

NOONA — 48: the ‘picnic’ date (+written 0.4k)
Tumblr media
the last thing you expected to see when you opened your door was a soaked sunghoon holding a basket.
before you could even get a word out he spoke, “it started raining half way here, now everything’s ruined.”
“quick come inside!” you leaned out for his arm, pulling him forwards inside the safety of your house away from the droplets, “can’t have you get sick on our first proper date.”
his dejection was evident in his posture, bangs covering half his face with his body slightly slouched. your surprised the basket is even still in his hands with how loosely he’s holding on to it.
you could see his t-shirt uncomfortably clinging onto his skin and his shorts starting to look ombre from the bottom being wet.
“doesn’t matter anyways, its all ruined.”
“look at me,” you cupped his face, forcing him to make eye contact, “nothings ruined okay.”
he huffed, looking everywhere else but at you, “yes it is. the rain is heavy and the park will be wet and i’m wet and-”
his words got caught in his throat, starting to sniffle as tears that lined his eyes start to fall as he tries to finish his sentence. arms coming up to wipe his tears with his sleeves whilst you stood there shocked.
you already knew sunghoon was a little sensitive and cried a lot, you just didn’t expect it now.
“baby,” you sighed, pulling him into a hug, nuzzling into your neck letting his sobs freely spill out, “fuck the park, we can still have our picnic right here. as long as you’re with me nothing is ruined.”
“i didn’t know you could be sentimental.”
“shut up,” you slapped his shoulder, making him laugh, still trying to wipe his face, “come on, ill go steal some of won’s clothes for you.”
+
what was once your living room was now a makeshift ‘park’. the couch was pushed to one side with the coffee table on another to make as much space in the middle as possible, going as far as laying down a checkered blanket beneath all the food to really tie it all together.
soon enough, sunghoon came in wearing a white t-shirt and sweats that were a little short on the ankle but he’ll make do, “don’t you look cute.”
“why is jungwon so short, my ankle feels naked,” he slowly sat down beside you as you continued to set up taking pictures ever few seconds.
“genetics, too bad. i did a good job right? were basically in the park right now.”
you looked at sunghoon who was still silent, seeing him on the verge of tears again, “hey, no crying. you’ve done enough for both of you.”
“i just feel bad. i had everything planned and i checked the weather app i swear i-”
you leaned forward, silencing him with your lips on his. no one double blame you, he just looked so cute with his eyes a little puffy and cheeks flushed.
“you talk too much.”

Chapter Six
Y/n
My alarm goes off at six in the morning with a loud beeping. I groan as I get up out of Ginny’s bed. “Turn that bloody thing off,” Ginny groans just as I turn it off. “What kind of crazy person wakes up at six in the morning?” She asks in an irritated tone.
I chuckle and yawn, stretching my arms over my head. “Come on, we want to be the first ones to shower,” I tell them, pulling the blanket down off of her and Hermione.
“Ugh, fine!” Ginny huffs as she stands up and stretches.
I lightly shake Hermione awake, and she rolls over to face me. “I’m up, I’m up,” she tells me tiredly before sitting up.
I grab my clothes for my shower and walk out of Ginny’s room, heading for the bathroom. The door is shut, and the light is on when I reach it, so I lean against the wall, waiting for whoever is in there to be done. Hopefully, it’s not Ron who takes forever. Finally, the door handle clicks, and whoever is in there opens the door. And holy fuck, if I wasn’t awake before, I am now.
George looks at me, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist. His hair is still damp against his forehead as he looks down at me with a smirk. The towel he’s wearing hangs low on his waist, giving me a perfect view of his v-line and his toned and muscular body. Bloody Hell, being a beater pays off.
“See something you like, baby?” George chuckles with a smirk. He steps closer to me, leaning over me with his hand on the wall above my head. I can only nod, my heart racing as my wetness begins to pool in my panties as I admire his body. He chuckles deeply and tilts my face up to look him in the eyes by grabbing my chin. “Words, baby. Use your words.”
“Y-yes,” I answer softly, my breathing heavy as he leans in closer, brushing his lips against mine.
“That’s my good girl,” he says softly, leaning back slightly and looking down at me. Fuck I could melt. “Now, go take a shower before we end up bending you over the banister and fucking you right here in the hallway,” he teases, tilting his head to the side and looking over his shoulder.
I follow his gaze over to Fred, who is leaning on their doorframe with a smirk as he bites his lower lip. “Better listen to him, little one.” Merlin, yes. I want that so bad right now.
I nod slightly as George takes a step back. “Okay,” my voice comes out almost in a whisper. As I go to pass by, George grabs my arm, turning me to face him again. He holds me to his chest and presses a kiss to my lips with a sultry hum.
I can feel his large bulge pressing into my lower abdomen, only fueling my need for them. When he pulls back, he looks me in the eyes and runs his tongue against his bottom lip. “Go,” he tells me with a swift smack on my ass.
I gasp as he and Fred laugh softly. I feel myself blush as I walk into the bathroom and close the door behind me. I take a moment to collect myself and then smirk if they want to tease me, then game on.
After my shower, I get dressed in a matching pink lace thong and bra. I put on my Gryffindor skirt that was a bit too short, I meant to buy a new one, but I never got around to it. Oh well, it will work perfectly for this little game the twins and I have going right now. If they could tease me like that, I chuckle softly to myself. I’m going to have them begging. I button up my white school skirt and tie my house tie before slipping on my knee-high black socks and brushing my hair.
I look into the mirror and smile. I look hot. All the chores I’ve been doing have toned me up, and skipping lunch has kept me slim. I open the door and catch a glimpse of Fred and George watching me as I walk out of the bathroom. Their jaws? On the fucking floor. I pretend not to notice until I reach Ginny’s door again and look back at them, giving them a wink as I walk through the door and close it behind me. That’s right, boys, game on.
“Bloody Hell,” Ginny says when I walk into her room with a gasp.
“Are you sure you can wear that skirt? It’s a bit short,” Hermione says nervously.
I shrug my shoulders. “It’s only an inch or two shorter than normal. I meant to buy a new one, but I forgot. Plus, it’ll help me win the game I have going with Fred and George,” I wink at Hermione.
Ginny laughs and tilts her head back. “Oo, you’re going to win for sure. If I swung that way, I’d fuck you,” Ginny says with a wink. I giggle and blow her a kiss.
“You do look hot, but I would button up the next two buttons. Otherwise, Molly might lose her mind at breakfast,” Hermione suggests.
“Not to mention, your dad would probably have a heart attack,” Ginny laughs as I magically dry my long hair and straighten it.
“You guys are right,” I shrug and button up my top twice, covering my cleavage. “Don’t want to win too early,” I wink.
We all finish getting ready after they shower, doing our make up and hair, and getting dressed. By the time we’re done, it’s a little after eight, the time Molly wanted us to be ready. But we wanted to look good, sue us. We put on our black loafers and grab our bags, our trunks already by the fireplace when Molly calls up for us. “Girls! Come on! Time for breakfast!” Molly yells from downstairs.
“Coming!” We all yell back in response as we head out of Ginny’s room and walk downstairs. We giggle softly, whispering about what kind of reactions the boys will have to seeing us. Ginny and Hermione both rolled up their skirts to match mine, wanting to play the same game with Ron and Harry.
We stroll into the kitchen, and the boys’ reactions are priceless. Ron turns bright red and immediately stops eating when Hermione sits down next to him. And Harry shifts in his seat, no doubt adjusting himself by the looks of the wink Ginny gives me. Both Fred and George place their hands on my knees under the table, and Fred leans into my ear. “You look fucking hot,” he says softly.
I smirk and look up at him, leaning in close, our noses almost touching. “I know,” I tease him softly, making him groan just loud enough for me to hear.
George squeezes my thigh under the table, drawing my attention. “Problem, Georgie?” I ask innocently.
George bites his lip and leans in close. “Do you have any idea what you’re doing to us?” He asks softly. I follow his gaze down to the slight bulge in his pants and back up to his eyes again.
I answer him as innocently as I can. “I’m just seeing how long you two can last before making good on your little threat to bend me over and fuck me,” I smile, then turn and say the same thing to Fred, squeezing his thigh for good measure. Fred chokes on his coffee, coughing.
“You alright, son?” Arthur asks him curiously.
“Yeah, is everything okay, Freddie?” I ask innocently as I put a few blueberries in my oatmeal.
“Yup,” Fred says, clearing his throat. “Just went down the wrong pipe, is all,” he says calmly, giving me a warning glare. “You’ll pay for this later,” he warns me quietly, looking to my other side at George, who nods in agreement.
“I look forward to it,” I wink with a smile as I sip my coffee. The twins’ grip on my thighs tightens, making me clench my thighs together as the family owl swoops in with the newest edition of The Daily Prophet, the newspaper for the wizarding world. Arthur takes the newspaper and sits back down, looking over it. “Oh boy,” he says quietly.
“What’s up, Dad?” Fred asks as he takes a bite of his breakfast.
Arthur sighs as he skims the paper. “Well, it would appear the Lucus is in Azkaban,” he says with a shake of his head. “Sentenced to six months, and I’m sorry to say that Draco will also be returning to school.” Now it’s my turn to choke. George pats my back until I catch my breath, and Arthur reads the article aloud to all of us.
“At the end of the day yesterday, the Malfoy family was seen entering the Wizengamot courtroom, the high court of our world, along with their close friends, the Parkinson family, and their daughter Pansy. According to an anonymous source within the court, Lucius Malfoy had used a powerful Confundus charm on an official of the wizarding testing department in order to allow his son, Draco Malfoy, to graduate early from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry over the summer,” we all gasp as Arthur continues to read.
“Having pleaded guilty to the crime, he will pay a hefty fine and serve a sentence no longer than six months in the notorious Azkaban prison. As headmaster of the school, Albus Dumbledore has agreed to allow young Draco Malfoy to attend school this year. Under the condition that he serve community service, the number of hours undisclosed.
The Parkinson family offered kind words and praise for Draco’s character and morals. Their daughter, Pansy, a schoolmate of Draco’s, is quoted saying that he is ‘a man od outstanding moral fiber, and of course had no idea of the confundus charm.’ Lucius, taking the blame for all of the crime, adamantly declines Draco having any knowledge of the crime that took place, thus freeing Draco from any legal responsibility. For more information on the Parkinson family’s kind words and court quotations, see page ten.”
“Outstanding moral fiber, my ass,” George huffs, shaking his head.
“George, language!” Molly chastises him.
“He’s not wrong, Mum. I mean, look what he did to y/n. Does that seem like somebody with a moral character?” Ginny asks in an irritated tone.
“Are you alright?” Arthur asks in my silence.
I sigh and nod. “Honestly, he got what he deserved. Do I think he didn’t know about what his dad did? Not in the slightest. But I just plan to avoid him like the plague. He’s dead to me,” I answer Arthur bluntly.
“We’ll keep him away from you too. If he tries anything, we’ll kick his ass,” Fred says, gripping my thigh and turning to Molly when she opens her mouth to protest. “Only kidding, Mum. The last thing we need is to get expelled and have to do the whole year over again,” Fred tells her, more so to make her feel better. I know they’d do it in a heartbeat, even if it meant opening their joke shop a year later.
Molly nods. “Exactly. Now, everyone finish up. It’s time to get going to the platform soon,” she reminds us all.
After breakfast, Arthur heads out to pick up my Dad from St. Mungo’s to bring him to the platform. “See you all there!” Arthur calls out as he leaves.
We all grab our trunks and meet by the fireplace to take the floo network to the platform while Molly fishes up the dishes in the kitchen. “You sure you’re alright, baby?” George asks me.
I nod and smile at him and Fred. “Absolutely. You two are my life, not that git. Now, do you two want to sulk? Or do you want to show off your hot girlfriend on the platform? Because I, for one, think we should rub his filthy SLytherin nose in it,” I say with a wink.
They smirk at each other and turn back to me, answering me in sync. “Definitely show you off.”
“That’s what I thought,” I smile.
Fred moves to stand behind me, pressing his chest into my back and leaning down to kiss my neck and speak softly in my ear. “Mm, fuck. We’re going to have to walk with you everywhere. Especially on the stairs,” he jokes as his hands move down to the sides of my thighs.
George tilts my chin up to look at him as he stands in front of me. “Can’t have anyone staring at what’s ours, can we?” He teases and kisses me softly.
“You two got a problem with going everywhere with me?” I taunt with a smirk.
“No, ma’am,” they both answer together, making me giggle. I love it when they do that, and they know it.
“Good boys,” I tease as Fred stands at my side as Molly enters the living room.
We use the floo network one by one after Molly puts a charm on our trunks to make them light enough to carry. I go through second to last before Molly, stepping through the fire and onto the platform. I smile as I lay my eyes on the bright, red Hogwarts Express, a little sad that this will be my last year boarding it.
I look around for our group and find my dad standing with the rest of our group. And smile as I walk up and hug him. “Hi, Daddy. You look great,” I say sweetly as he hugs me back.
“Hey, Honeybee. Thank you. You look great, too. All ready for your last first day?” He asks with a sad smile.
I nod and smile. “Absolutely,” I answer him.
“Alright, alright, pictures, everyone!” Molly claps, getting all of our attention.
Ron groans and rolls his eyes. “Mum, do we have to?” Ron asks, annoyed.
Molly throws him a warning look and nods. “Yes, Ronald. This is the last year you will be at school with your brothers and y/n.”
The first picture was of all of us together in front of the train, which Molly had another parent take. Then it was just their family, all of the kids without the parents, my alone for my Mum and Dad to frame, then finally, me and my Dad together.
My dad holds me close to his side as Molly tries to get a picture when I see a pair of silver eyes and platinum blonde hair a few feet away, and my smile drops.
Fred and George look at me curiously. “Smile, dear,” Molly tells me, but I can’t take my eyes off Draco, who is staring me down.
“You alright, honeybee?” My dad asks me.
Everyone follows my eyeline until they see Draco staring at me, too. Standing next to his Mum with Pansy obliviously hanging on his arm. Fred and George move to walk towards him when I find my voice again. “Don’t!” I tell them, stopping them in their tracks to look at me. I watch Draco’s eyes as they squint, looking between Fred, George, and me. “He’s not worth it,” I say to Fred and George, loud enough for Draco to hear as I stare him down. For just a moment before I look away, I swear I could see tears forming in his cold eyes.
I shake it off and calm my dad down enough for us to take our picture before we return to our group. “He’s brave to show his face here,” my dad scowls.
“You can say that again,” Fred says, moving to stand next to me.
“Sorry I’m late, everyone,” Sirius, Harry’s godfather, says as he joins our group. He was cleared of all charges a few years ago when they finally caught Peter Pettigrew, and Harry has lived with him ever since. “Did I miss something?” He asks curiously at everyone’s annoyed expressions.
“Just the Malfoy’s,” Arthur answers with a shake of his head.
Sirius nods. “Ah, I see. Yes, I saw the paper this morning. Bloody shame. Awful place his father was sentenced to,” he shakes his head. Sirius never really talks about Azkaban, not without plenty of drinks. Understandable, given what he went through there, even being innocent. He turns to me and smiles. “Y/n! How lovely to see you again,” he says to me with a smile, hugging me.
“It’s good to see you too, Sirius,” I smile as we pull apart. “This is my Dad, Phil,” I say, introducing my dad. “Dad, this is Sirius Black, Harry’s Godfather.”
“Pleasure to meet you,” my dad says kindly as he shakes his hand.
“You as well,” Sirius says as Molly claps.
“Alright, children. Time to say your goodbyes,” she says as the warning whistle blows on the train.
I hug Molly, Arthur, Sirius, and finally my dad. “I love you. Keep me updated on Mum, and write me if anything changes.”
“I will. I love you too, Honeybee. Don’t let that boy drag you down. Have a great time,” my dad tells me as we pull apart, and he looks at Fred and George. “Take care of my girl. And keep her away from that boy,” he tells them.
“We’ll guard her with our lives,” George promises with a smile as I move to stand between them.
“I should hope so,” my dad chuckles. “You’re good men. I’m trusting you.”
We all wave goodbye to our parents as we board the train. One on board, we look for an empty compartment, finally finding one, and pile inside. I sit between Fred and George on one side of the table, and Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione take their seats on the other side. “It’s great that Sirius can come to the platform now and see you off, Harry,” I tell him kindly with a smile.
Harry smiles wide and nods. “Yeah. I’m just happy he was finally proven innocent.”
“What did he whisper to you?” Ginny asks Harry curiously.
Harry shrugs and puts an arm around her. “Just that he’d see me later. Not sure why he had to whisper it, though,” Harry says, confused.
After about an hour, the door opens and Katie Bell and Angelina Johnson smile. “Hey, Fred. Hey, George,” they say together. I roll my eyes. They’re two chasers on the Gryffindor quidditch team who have had crushes on Fred and George forever.
“Oh, hey guys,” George says kindly.
“What’s up? Are you guys ready for quidditch this year?” Fred asks with a smile.
“Most definitely,” Angelina answers him, twirling her hair and practically eye-fucking Fred. “Been practicing all summer.” I look across to our other friends, and we all roll our eyes at their obvious flirting.
“Hey, George, do you guys want to come to our cabin and talk about strategy?” Katie flirts, biting her lip. My jaw clenches, and I’m about to say something when Ginny beats me to the punch.
“Um? What about me, Harry, and Ron? I’m a chaser, too. Ron’s our keeper, and Harry is the damn captain,” Ginny snides.
“Oh, um. Yeah, you guys can come too, I guess,” Angelina says, shifting on her feet.
“Or, we can talk about something else?” Katie says flirtily to George. Okay. That’s fucking IT.
I stand up, slamming my hands down on the table and making them both jump as Ginny smiles at me, knowing I’m about to tear them a new asshole. “Clearly, they’re busy. So stop eye-fucking my boyfriends, and fucking get lost,” I spit at them.
They both blink a few times and look at me in shock. “Wait, did you say your boyfriends? Like, you’re with both of them?” Angelina asks.
“I thought you were just their friend?” Katie says, annoyance dripping in her tone as she squints her eyes at me.
“First of all, Katelyn,” I sneer her full name. “I am, and always will be, their best fucking friend,” I narrow my eyes at her before looking at Angelina. “And second, Angelina,” I sneer her name with the same tone of voice. “Yes, I am dating both of them. They’re mine, and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll fucking back off. Now, if you two don’t get fucking lost, I’m going to kick your asses all the way to Hogwarts,” I tell them, my body shaking with rage.
“Wow, jealous much?” Katie sneers.
I move to jump over the table, but Fred and George pull me back and sit me down in my seat. “Get fucking lost, or you’re off the team, Bell,” Harry warns them. She opens her mouth to speak but just huffs and rolls her eyes as she and Angelina back out of the compartment, close the door, and walk away.
The twins rub the adrenaline from my legs, and Fred leans into my ear. “That was fucking hot,” he quips with a chuckle.
 I shoot him a glare and narrow my eyes. “Seriously?! Neither of you said a damn thing!” I say angrily, looking from him to George on my other side, crossing my arms in a huff.
“Yeah, because you had it handled, baby,” George says with a chuckle as he kisses the side of my head.
“Aww, it’s okay, little one,” Fred says, gripping my upper thigh.
“Don’t ‘little one’ me,” I snip at him, trying not to smile at their teasing. But one look across the table at our friends, pursing their lips and covering their mouths to hide their laughter, is enough to make me laugh, and doon, we’re all in a fit of howling laughter.
“Oh my God, I thought you were going to strangle them,” Hermione laughs.
“Did you see them jump when she stood? I thought their heads were going to bounce off of the ceiling,” Ginny howls with laughter.
“Angelina looked like she was about to piss herself,” Ron adds with a laugh, tipping his head back.
“It was really, very cute, baby,” George says with a smile. “But also terrifying.”
“Would you have really kicked them off of the team, Harry?” Fred asks with a chuckle.
Harry shrugs and puts his arm around Ginny. “Honestly? I thought y/n was going to murder them before I got the chance,” he laughs.
Soon, the trolly comes by, indicating that we’re a little over halfway to Hogwarts. I get a hot cocoa and a pumpkin pasty. We talk and eat, having a great time before the compartment door opens again. But instead of girls, it’s fucking Draco. Here we go.
“Um, y/n, can I have a word?” He asks me.
Fred and George move to stand up, but I put my hands on their arms, guiding them to sit back down. “What the fuck do you want, Malfoy?” I ask, annoyed.
“A word, if I may,” he says, eyeing Fred and George, and his jaw ticks.
I roll my eyes and sip my cocoa. “You said plenty in that pathetic fucking letter you wrote me. Talk to your pug-faced bitch and leave me alone. And tell her to wash her fucking hair. It’s so damn greasy it makes Snape’s look like a damn shampoo commercial,” I spit back at him.
“Watch your fucking mouth,” Draco spits back at me. Everyone looks at me, Fred, and George with wide eyes.
“Oo, you fucked up now, Malfoy,” Ginny teases and laughs.
Fred and George look at me, begging me to let him have it, and I raise my hands. “No fists,” I tell them as they nod and stand up.
“What the fuck did you just say?” George asks, clutching the table so hard his knuckles turn white. Draco’s best bet is to say nothing and just walk away. But does he? Nope.
“I told her to watch her mouth about Pansy,” Draco doubles down.
“Apologize to our girlfriend. Now,” Fred warns him.
Draco shoots me a confused look, but I just smile smugly and nod. “Don’t look at her to fucking save you,” George spits, getting his attention again.
“Still waiting on that apology, you little ferret bitch,” Fred demands. But Draco is still clearly focused on the ‘boyfriends’ part.
“You’re dating both of them?” Draco sneers at me.
“Yup,” I shrug, taking another sip of my cocoa. “Needed two huge dicks to catch up for lost time with your one shitty one,” I sneer with a smug smile.
“You didn’t seem to mind sucking it,” he sneers back. Thinking that saying I sucked his dick in front of my boyfriends means he won.
I roll my eyes and laugh. “Doesn’t mean I enjoyed it,” I say dismissively.
“You still came on it,” Draco fires back pathetically.
I can’t help but laugh. “Want to you want? A sticker?” I tease with a sneer. “Congratulations, you made a girl cum,” I clap my hands sarcastically as I lean across the table. “But let me get one thing clear,” I narrow my eyes. “I may have moaned your name,” I nod to him. “But I fucking scream theirs,” I nod to Fred and George.
Draco shakes his head and walks out without another word, and Fred and George sit back down next to me. “I’m so fucking proud of you,” Fred praises me as he cups my face and kisses me deeply, making me hum against his lips.
When he pulls back, George takes the chance to pull my face to his and kiss me next. “You’re a goddamn vision, woman,” George says, biting my lower lip. The rest of the train ride is peaceful. Well, as peaceful as it can be with Fred and George constantly teasing me by sliding their fingers up my thighs under my skirt and toying with my slit over my panties, but never giving me a release. Fuck. They might just win and get me on my knees.

friends (with benefits) - marlene mckinnon
Tumblr media
summary - marlene and her ‘best friend’ have some fun during a movie with their friends, having to be very sneaky.
warnings - smut, fingering (f given) pet names used, semi-public sexual acts. lmk if there’s any i missed.
word count - 565
a/n - i’ve loved this idea for so long and i just had to write it.
post number - 4
reader - she/her, fem.
marlene and yn had been friends for as long as they could remember , but recently things had changed. their friendship was… different, to say the least.
currently, yn and marlene were lying in the spare bed of the marauders dorm room, watching a movie with james, sirius, peter and remus.
due to the way each of them were lying, facing the movie, none of them could even see the two girls on the bed at the back of the room.
so far there was nothing unusual happening, until marlene noticed that there was a loud fight scene going on in the movie.
“yn.” the blonde whispered.
yn turned to face her, “yeah.”
“how’re you feeling right now?”
she whispered back, “i’m feeling pretty good, how are you feeling marls?”
“well, i was hoping i could be feeling you again. if that’s alright with you?”
yn smirked, “gotta be quiet though.”
“of course.” marlene replied.
and soon enough, things were happening. feelings were felt.
marlene’s gaze had now been completely averted to yn, who was looking the same way. the scottish girl’s hand crept underneath the quilt they were covered by, and onto yn’s body.
yn turned slightly, making herself closer to marlene. marlene was quick to undo the button of yn’s trousers, not without a reassuring look from yn that is was okay to do so, and her hand quickly slid into her friend’s panties.
marlene was quick to slip two of other fingers inside of yn, while her thumb circled her clit. yn struggled to keep quiet.
“that good?” yn nodded in response, “gotta be quiet though.” marlene whispered softly.
“yeah.” yn breathed.
“good girl.”
marlene pumped her fingers, knowing exactly what her friend liked, as yn struggled to keep quiet. in order for marlene to go faster, she lifted her knees up so that nobody could see the fast motion going on under the blankets.
she sped up, as yn’s hand flew to cover her mouth.
“that good, baby? you like that?” marlene whispered as quietly as she could.
she got no response, as she expected. if yn spoke now, she would give them both away, not being able to keep herself quiet
“fuck, you’re so wet.” marlene pointed out.
she picked up the pace of her thumb, and slipped another finger into yn’s pussy. marlene could feel yn tense up.
“nearly.. there.” yn managed to breath out quietly.
“good girl, cum for me, sweetheart.”
as marlene’s fingers all sped up, yn reached her high, having the best climax she’d ever had. marlene smirked, not just because she had just done this to her best friend, but because she wouldn’t be able to subtly go to the bathroom.
in yn’s favour, the bathroom was right in between the bed they were on and peters bed, so she was able to sneak off to clean up ten minutes later, bringing back tissue for marlene to clean her fingers with.
and so, they went back to how they were before, acting as if nothing ever happened, and finished watching the movie.
yn sat up, “so, what’d you think of the movie guys?”
“pretty good.” the speckled boy responded.
“yeah, i loved the fight scene.” marlene responded, with a hinting tone towards yn.
“me too! that was so good, marls.” sirius responded
this wasn’t the first time this happened, and it definitely wasn’t the last.

oh no, i hope you get better soon! you deserve to be in the middle of a sleep token cuddle pile with the boys taking care of you :)
Waiting for antibiotics to kick in and hoping that I can get a free day off work tomorrow. 🫡🫧
But also….
No, but imagine them all finding out that you are unwell. You forbid them from coming to visit you because the tour starts soon and you would never forgive yourself if you were to get them sick too. But then you get woken up from your fever nap by your doorbell ringing. So you’re dragging yourself up, hair all messy, a blanket wrapped around your body. And you open the door to them bickering because iii forgot your keys.
“Not my fucking problem that your key is like hers”, he grunts before turning to you, “oh, hun…” and you’re being dragged into iii’s warm embrace. And it’s so comforting and warm and so exactly what your freezing body needs.
“Yeah, out of the hallway”, Vessel orders, “She will get even more ill, it’s windy here”. And then they are practically push you inside. Palm after palm coming to check your forehead. “Guys…”, you grunt, “I told you to not come”, you try to frown but that only results in your head hurting even more. “And have we ever listened, darling”, ii shrugs, already mid-watching up the dirty dishes in your kitchen.
“You need to shower 'cause this ain’t it”, iv pulls at the strand of your hair. “Thanks huh… kind of been busy being sick”, you grunt. “You look cute regardless”, he’s quick to interject with a wink, “I’m just saying that a bath would make you feel better”, he pulls you into his chest and you once again melt into a warm embrace, feeling your eyes closing.
“Come, I’ll help you wash up”, Vessel gently runs a hand down the back of your neck. “I’m not getting naked in front of you”, you wheeze, hiding your face even further into iv chest. “Nothing I haven’t seen before”, Veseel shrugs making you let out a gasp, “You haven’t seen my ass”. Laugher echoes through the apparent. “Questionable statement if we take last new year’s into consideration”, iii snorts. “Who are you to talk to, your dick was out before midnight”, you shoot him a look, sending everyone into fits of laughter once again. “Okay, bath now”, Vessel practically peals you away from iv before scooping you up in his arms, “Fun later”.
You don’t remember much of the bath time. Just Vessel humming beneath his breath as he washed your hair, running a wet cloth down your arms as you soaked in hot water. Every cough that slipped past your lips made him frown more and more. At some point iv had popped his head in to check on you, double-checking on what meds he needed to go grab. Once you were dried off and drowning in iii hoody, a big mug of tea was placed in your hands.
Your living room was now spotless. Blankets you didn’t even know you had thrown all over the sofa. “Chicken noodle soup should be done soon”, ii walked in a tea towel draped over his shoulder. You only crook your head to the side. “Don’t give me that look”, he flicks your nose, “You would do the same for us”. And where he’s not wrong, you still couldn’t get over the four men fussing over you.
“You are being too sweet”, you sigh, letting your body fall into the blankets. “So are you when you stay up for hours on face time after shit shows”, iii muses, scooting in next to you. You smile at him weakly, resting your head on his shoulder.
“Movies and cuddles?”, iv steps through the door, dangling a bag in his hands. “I call dibs on picking”, Vessel hums, pulling your legs over his lap. “You always pick”, iii rolls his eyes yet tosses the remote to him anyway. “Take two”, iv pops pills into his palm before handing them to you, “Save me a spot while I go look for a thermometer”, he pats your thigh before disappearing into the kitchen. “I swear if you all leave me a corner seat I will beat your ass”, ii shout back, making you all chuckle.

Girl’s Night at The Burrow by Me ✨
✦ .  ⁺   . ✦ .  ⁺   . ✦
Pairings: George Weasley/reader (fem)
I wrote this when I was like 15 and originally posted it on wattpad, then ao3, and now this lovely platform.
FLUFF
My favorite fanfic theme, TENSION ❤️❤️
1.6k words
✦ .  ⁺   . ✦ .  ⁺   . ✦
Shouts and laughs fill the air of the Weasley’s living room, except they’re all emitted from loud and rowdy boys that should really be in bed right now. The only reason they aren’t is because Arthur persuaded Molly into letting them stay up until midnight seeing as it is summer break and on summer break, the children should be having fun.
“Get ready for bed, boys!” Molly’s voice echoes through the house from the kitchen.
“What? No way! It’s an hour till midnight, mum.” Ron rejected.
“I know dear,” she returned to her calm motherly voice, “It’s just for tonight, pip pip.”
I was handed an excruciatingly hot mug from her which appeared to be cocoa. Bye bye finger prints, now I’m free from the law, I guess. Ginny pushed her seat back with a sigh to excuse herself.
“No, no, Ginny sit back down, you’re staying here. So are you, Y/N.”
Ginny and I exchanged perplexed glances at one another as we mentally analyzed the passing week to discover anything we might have done wrong that we would be in trouble for. Molly walked away to the kitchen, presumably to make another hot chocolate for Ginny or herself.
In her absence, I whispered to Ginny, “did you do anything bad??”
.
“Nothing she knows about.” She whispered back, mirroring my clueless demeanor.
The second hot chocolate was placed on a coaster and slid to Ginny, who soon burnt her tongue.
“Now I know you’re wondering why I put everyone to bed”, a smug smirk appeared on her face and she placed her hand on her hips, “but it’s been ages since I’ve got to have a good girl talk and pampering. I brought a muggle face mask and- oh. Where do you suppose Hermione is at?”
“Did you tell her to stay down?” Ginny asked with an ice cube resting on her tongue.
“Oops.” Molly went to make yet another hot chocolate while I ran up to our room to find her, on the way being stopped in my tracks by George leaving the bathroom with nothing but a towel wrapped upon his waist and wet hair dripping water everywhere which Ron will probably step on later with socks by accident and throw a fit about. George is not the stoic and mysterious person he thinks he is, especially since the blushy tint of his cheeks was very obvious.
“Why have you not got any pajamas on yet?” He looked me up and down.
“Why’ve you not even got a shirt on?”
“Uh, well, do you like, wear your clothes in the shower or something?”
“Only when I’m feeling spontaneous.” With that sarcasm, I pushed past him in an attempt to hide the blush that I can definitely feel, and that he definitely noticed.
“MIONE!” I frantically knock on the door, internally withering away at the thought of George.
“BLIMEY, WHAT??” Her book falls to the floor when she reaches to hold her heart after being startled.
“Sorry. You’re not supposed to go to bed yet, we’re having a girls night.”
“Oh well okay”, she crawls out of bed, “wish I got the memo earlier, though”
She walks ahead of me with one of her blankets wrapped over her shoulders.
“Ah, good.” Molly waddles over to the table with more mugs and headbands are laid out already, along with a jar of bentonite clay. Hermione takes a seat and grabs the plush bunny headband.
“Y/N do you want the leopard print one or the bear one?” asks Ginny.
“Whatever one you don’t want”
She tosses me the leopard print one. “Damn.”
“If you wanted the bear one, you should have said so when I gave you the chance.” She rolls her eyes.
“No, no, the leopard print one is… nice.”
The hot chocolate is stubborn to cool off, but that’s never stopped me.
“So you fancy George?” Hermione is now applying the clay.
I nearly spat out my drink which would have been better than choking on it as I did. Ginny’s jaw dropped.
“I knew it!” Molly seems overjoyed as she slams her hands on the table.
“Hermione. I love you, but what the hell.”
She seems to be unconcerned- as if what relationship I could potentially have with George is clearly a matter of fact. How a scientist might discuss data.
“Sorry, isn’t that what you’re supposed to talk about at ‘girl time’?”
“Well… yeah, actually. I just wasn't expecting that in the slightest.”
“At least we know you wouldn’t be rejected.” Ginny says, also in a matter-of-fact tone while sipping her cocoa.
“Sorry?”
Molly is doing her best to withhold her glee, “Well it’s obvious, isn’t it?”
“What?”
“Oh come on! He never shuts up about you. Everybody knows about his crush on you.”
“Everybody except me, apparently???” I’m flabbergasted, “how do you know?”
“Oh, well I don’t know, maybe cause he shoves our stuff over to sit next to you, or cause he’s always staring at you, or cause he steals your stuff, or cause-”
“I think she gets it, mum.” Ginny interrupts.
“No, no, no keep going, keep going.”
“This is something I think is especially cute,” Molly scrunches her shoulders up, “when he knows you’re coming over, he cleans his room and puts on fresh clothes.”
“He does all the stuff in the book Y/N, honestly, come on” Ginny says.
Hermione adds, “And you eat it up, you just don’t know it.”
I put my face in my hands. “Hermione help me.”
“With what?”
“When I went up to get you I bumped into him after he got out of the shower and he was shirtless and I was a blushing mess and there’s no way he couldn’t have noticed.”
“Oh, so that’s what was wrong with you.”
“I don’t know what to do.”
“Flirt back.” Ginny shrugged.
“Easy for you to say.”
After Molly takes off her mask, she rips open a bag of what she calls “muggle chips” and pours them into a bowl so tackily decorated, you’d only find it in the china cabinet of a very old lady.
“Where’d you get all the muggle stuff?”
“Mostly Hermione, but the weird things laying around like this, uh…” she pokes at a pocket sized flashlight laid on the side table of the couch, “that’s Arthur.”
I get up and look out the window to see the surrounding field, filled with the chirps of crickets enjoying the summer air. Ginny follows. The moon hangs like a plate in the sky and stars are spattered in all directions around it.
“It’s the prettiest thing in the world”
“Not in George’s opinion.”
“Ginny, drop it!” I shot her a lightheartedly serious look and we went to sit back down.
Footsteps thumped down the stairs, and the room dropped to a dead silence. My back was to the rest of the house and I couldn’t see who approached, but given Ginny and Hermione’s wide-eyed stares into my soul and Molly covering her mouth with her hand, I could assume the worst. I heard water pour from the pitcher behind me.
“Pretty hopping party, huh?” George took a look around. “When I’m with my friends, I like to sit with my back perfectly straight in deafening silence too.”
“George, go to bed.” Molly was stern.
“But I wanna come to girls’ night.”
“You’re lacking some plumbing.” Ginny giggled.
“I can trash talk people just as well as you lot can.” He leaned onto my chair with his hand resting on my shoulder, still sipping water, “did you see Freddie’s outfit today, woof. As if we’re not dealing with enough right now.”
I folded over in my chair snickering. Unbeknownst to me, he looked at Ginny and mouthed a triumphant, “yes!” to her, delighted to make me laugh.
“Go!” Molly swatted him with a headband, which he dodged only with his hips and kept himself in the exact same spot.
“I keep telling him to stay away from yellows since they wash out his features, you know, but he never listens.
“George.”
“Alright, alright”
Once he had left, Hermione squealed, “That was so adorable!”
Ginny cheered, “Aww little Georgie’s in love.”
Again, with my face in my hands I gasped “Okay, you’re right, Mione.”
“About?”
“I like him. He makes my heart drop to my stomach when I see him. He has the cutest smile ever.”
“You should tell him!” Molly is ecstatic.
“Maybe. Maybe one day.”
Ginny raised her eyebrows, “If you put it off too long, then I’m going to tell him myself.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. I gotta pee, I’ll be right back.”
I abruptly left my seat and walked to the bathroom for a second alone to have a reality check. The hallway to the bathroom matches the scrappy but warm vibe of the house with hanging hand-knit tapestries adorning the wall and random shoes shoved to the corners of the floor.
“OH-” I let out a yelp.
“Shh” said George, who apparently was lingering around the corner the whole time.
“You nosy little-”
He cut me off with a kiss. His hands gripped on my cheeks and my hips. If I weren’t as stunned as I am, I might have noticed the warmth and smooth texture of his lips, or his strong frame holding me up, or even the cologne he wears just for me.
“You have a cute smile, too.”
“You’re pathetic, George.” I lay my head into his collarbones.
Into my ear, he whispers, “I love you”, then retreats back to his bedroom, blowing a kiss on the way.
“Good night.”

What would be Aaron’s reaction to reader just climbing up on his bed and cuddling him and telling him ‘I’m sorry for everything I’ve done to hurt you’ like I need a genuine sweet moment from these two 😭
Or like baby reader asking Aaron or Rio why her mommy doesn’t love her the way mothers love their daughters
Tumblr media
Aaron was a light sleeper, he when he heard your door from across the hall creek open he knew it was either to get a glass of water, or to pace back and fourth as you sometimes did to sooth yourself from aching thoughts, like Diana would, but instead of the sound of the tap pouring or the sound of small feet pattering across the floor your feet grew ever closer to his door. He heard the small push and heard the creek of his door open and though he was not facing you could sense you were looming in the doorway, waiting for something.
After several moments right before Aaron was going to flip over to face you he felt the weight of the bed shift as you sat on the end and shuffled yourself under the blankets with him.
Y/n: "Pa...Are you awake?" You whispered.
Aaron: "Y/n...Why are you up so late? Take your self back to bed"
Y/n: "Can I sleep with you tonight?" He heard you sniffle and shifted himself to face you, the room was dark but he would see the shadows framing your distressed face wet with tears.
Aaron: "What's got you upset? You have a nightmare?"
Y/n: "No...I was just worried"
Aaron: "About?"
Y/n: "You said last night that...It was me who made Diana the way she is...dose that mean you'll be like her?"
Oh...Oh no He thought, he knew kids were just sponges but he had hopped he could just brush that comment under the rug and you would forget.
Aaron: "Oh no baby no, I was was just mad...But it's not your fault, listen your Mom had problems when we met, long before you and I should never had said that, and I will never be like Diana I love you"
...
...
Y/n: "Dose Diana love me?"
Aaron really didn't know at this point, she cared enough to pick you up weekends but not enough to engage with you, but only expose you to her darker sides. But he wasn’t about to tell you no, what kind of parent would he be if he did?
Aaron: “Yeah baby, I think she loves you but you know your moms got problems she’s not doing to great right now but she’ll get better”
Y/n: “I’m sorry”
Aaron: “about?”
Y/n: “ about hitting myself and making you look bad to the school”
Aaron: “I don’t care really what the school thinks of me I just get scared-“
Y/n: “that I’ll end up like her?”
Aaron: “Yeah…also you know how CPS can be”
Y/n: “ are you getting tired of me?”
Aaron: “never baby, I love you, okay? No matter what Diana or Phil tells you, I and Tita Rio and Uncle Jeff and Miles, we love love you so much”
Aaron can feel you tense again this chest as your curl up into a ball, sometimes you would respond negativity to being told you were loved and push it away, he worried this would be one of these times where it set you off to hurt yourself so he instinctively pressed you closer to his chest.
Aaron: “shhh shhh it’s okay baby, I got you”
Y/n: “ no no I’m fine”
Aaron: “ You not gonna do anything stupid?”
Y/n: “No im good”
Aaron: “okay then” he loosened his grip on your back only for you to tighten his grip on his shirt.
Y/n: “ can we stay like this please?”
Aaron: “ sure” he muttered as he wrapped his arms around you and kissed the top of your head lightly already drifting off to sleep with his child in his arms he allowed himself to slip into slumber where he knew that no matter what, happened between him and Jeff, or You and Diana he always, always had you his baby.
Request are wanted, hope ya like!

caught- Chris/ Matt Sturniolo
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Summary- You were watching a movie,Chris looked so fine. He thought you did too,he couldn’t contain himself Matt catches you both. It gets freaky….
Warnings- smut,fingering, leads into a three some, dom!Chris, dom!Matt ,sub!reader, cumming, face riding, anal,
You were watching a movie with Chris,Nick and Matt. About an hour into the movie, you feel Chris’s hand on your thigh. You don’t think much of it,since he always does it so you carry on watching the movie. He moves his hand up a little, and I move his hand down because I know he’s trying to tease me. We have a blanket over us,so we won’t get caught. Chris puts a hand in my shorts and panties and he rubs little circles with the pad of his thumb. I whimper slightly but cover it up with a cough, “shh we don’t wanna get caught” Chris whispers so I can only hear. He shoves his fingers in my wet pussy, my jaw drops and my back arches. This catches Matt attention, Matt and I make intense eye contact, Matt smirks then turns back to the movie. Nick looks over, “you okay y/n?” Nick says raising an eye brow. “Y-yeah I just got a cramp” I lie as Chris stops his movements,edging me. Nick turns back to the movie, I move Chris’s hand back,Chris shoves his fingers back into me,going a little faster than before. Matt looks over again,smirking at Chris, Chris doesn’t stop his movement, my eyes roll back I’m biting my lip trying to not make sound. Matt adjusts his pants, as he watches his brother finger blast the girl he’s talking too. Chris pulls his fingers out after he’s made me cum, I just sit there acting like I’m going to sleep. The movie ends, I reach for my phone as Nick stands up and groans while stretching. “Goodnight guys” Nick says picking up his phone and putting his glasses on. “Night” I say sighing. I get up and walk to Chris’s room, “where do you think you’re going?” Matt says walking behind Chris. Chris puts his hand on the bottom of my back, and leads me into Matt’s room. “W-what” I say confused, “we’re not done with you, Chris was just doing that too get my attention, we’re gonna fuck you both of us” Matt says closing the door. “Huh, Chris you’re allowing this?” I say as Chris picks me up and tilts his head with a chuckle. “Yeah,why not. You don’t want a two man?” Chris says placing me on the bed. Matt climbs on the bed, and takes his top off. He leans over me and starts kissing my neck. Chris climbs on the bed this time, he’s kissing my lips passionately. “Hmm” I moan slightly into Chris’s mouth. “See, you like it don’t you?” Matt says looking at me, “you dirty whore” Matt says going back down to kiss my neck. Chris pulls away and he goes down to my clothed pussy. He pulls my shorts and panties down again,revealing my wet heat. “Fuck” Chris says under his breath. Matt goes to kiss me on the lips, as Chris leans down and kisses my pussy. I feel Chris’s nose graze just under my belly, then he attaches his mouth to my clit, and starts sucking on my sensitive bud. “Hpmh” I moan into Matt’s mouth, I pull away and put my head down and sigh. “Fuck” I moan, as Chris adds a finger while Matt watches. Chris pulls away, “you like it when my brother watches while I fuck you, hm?” Chris says looking at me with lust filled eyes. I just moan in response, “words.” Matt says grabbing my jaw to look at him. “Y-yes,fuck” I say as Matt releases his grip on my jaw. Chris chuckles as he moves his fingers in and out of me at an u godly pace. “Shit” I say squeezing my eyes shut and throwing my head back. “You like that, don’t you?” Matt says looking me being a pathetic looser. “Fuck” I say moaning my eyes rolling back as Chris makes me finish. “Good girl,make a mess over my fingers” Chris says looking at me, his face glistening in my juices. Both,Matt and Chris get up and take off their pyjama pants and boxers. Fuck, Matt is big, but not as big as Chris though. “Get on your hands and knees now” Matt says as I do what he says. Matt gets in front of me while Chris is behind me. “Open” Matt says as he slaps my cheek a little. I do what he says and he shoves his dick in my mouth, Chris then slams into me, I moan around Matt’s throbbing member, this makes Matt moan a little. “Fuck” Chris says throwing his head back his mouth making an “o” shape. Matt gets a fistful of my hair and thrusts in my mouth.

Hold Still: Part 2
Tumblr media
Alright... maybe I'll write more of this one...
Content warning: Angst, mentions of mutilation from a parent
The early morning light barely filters through the tent, casting everything in a cool, blue hue. I can feel the cold dew from the ground seeping up through the layers of fabric as the wetness settles deep into my bones. The soldiers outside are already awake - some of them, I’m sure, never even slept. Too lost in their drunkenly revelry of the spoils of war to care about the hour. The sound of clashing steel reaches my ears, morning drills have begun.
I know I should get up, join them in their practice, but my body protests. My joints ache, and the meager warmth beneath these thin blankets feels far more inviting than the chill waiting outside. With a grumble, I burrow deeper into the cot, pulling the blanket over my head and curling my legs to my chest.
But it’s no use. I can feel the cold nipping at my wings, the exposed flesh that I can’t quite get under the blankets sensitive to the morning air. A sneer pulls at my lips as I reach out a hand, pulling my wing in and wrapping it around my body, tucking me fully under the covers, unwilling to sacrifice even an inch to the cold.
I hate my wings. They’re nothing but a burden, useless appendages that have done nothing but inhibit me. The muscles in them have long since withered away, leaving them as little more than dead weight. My father, a traditionalist, had them clipped when I was young, my mother watching on with sickening pride. I hadn’t fought back, though I wish I had. I wish I’d had the strength to drive a knife into his belly as he held me down, severing the tendons that might have allowed me to soar.
Not that they had been much use before that. My parents had bound them to my back, determined to keep me from relying on what they saw as a crutch. My mother claimed it was an act of mercy, sparing me the pain of knowing what I could never have. Maybe she was right, but the knowledge doesn’t dull the resentful ache that still simmers in my chest.
Now, my wings are nothin more than withered remnants, hanging uselessly behind me like a shadow of what could have been. I still bind them, more out of convenience. The only evidence of their existence being the protruding talons that arch out of my back. I find no beauty in them, no purpose. If I had my way, I’d have removed them entirely, rid myself of the constant reminder of what was taken from me.
I hear the tent rustle, the light shifting as more sunlight floods in. Reluctantly, I pull back the blankets just enough to peer over my shoulder at the figure standing in the entrance.
"Sleeping in?" Azriel’s familiar voice cuts through the quiet, laced with amusement.
I groan, pulling the blanket tighter around me, but I can already picture the grin plastered on his face from the little chuckle he lets out. His footsteps approach, the sound muffled by the dirt floor, until he’s standing over me.
“If you pull these blankets off of me, I’ll take the knife under my pillow and stab you with it,” I threaten, my voice muffled by the fabric.
He chuckles again, unfazed. "I came to get you for breakfast."
I pause, considering whether food is worth abandoning my cocoon of warmth. Finally, I pull the blanket back just enough to peek out at him. He’s smiling down at me, the sunlight framing him like a halo. “Good morning,” he whispers.
“Morning,” I grumble back, my voice heavy with reluctance.
With a resigned sigh, I throw the blanket off, immediately regretting it as the cold air hits my skin. Azriel turns away, moving to my trunk. He bends down, sifting through it before tossing a sweater and pants over his shoulder at me.
“Sleep well?” he asks, his voice casual as he continues rummaging.
The shirt lands on my face, and I rub my eyes, glaring at him even though his back is turned. “Slept okay. You?”
Azriel straightens, turning back to face me. “Fine,” he replies, but the dark circles under his eyes tell a different story.
I grab the bandages I use to bind my wings and stand, starting the familiar process of wrapping them to my torso. I fold my wings flat against my back and begin unwinding the gauze, each motion practiced. Azriel stands nearby, seemingly lost in thought, his gaze fixed on the discarded armor scattered across the floor.
“You okay?” I ask, taking a third pass over my wings.
At first, he doesn’t respond, as if he hasn’t heard me. But after a moment, he raises a brow and glances up. “Hm?” he murmurs, his expression distant.
I slow my binding, furrowing my brow. “Everything okay?” I repeat, my voice softer this time.
His eyes widen slightly as he shakes his head, as if trying to clear his thoughts. “Oh. Yeah, it’s fine. Everything’s fine.”
I resume my binding, an incredulous look crossing my face. “Right. Because that statement totally makes me believe you.”
He gives a half-hearted shrug, a faint smirk playing at the corner of his lips. “I have no clue what you’re talking about.”
I roll my eyes, finally reaching the end of the wrap. Azriel hands me a stay pin, and I secure the binding. I pull the sweater over my head and tuck my legs into my trousers before lacing up my boots, still damp from yesterdays rain. The whole time, I catch glimpses of Azriel — his expression distant, his thoughts tangled up in something he’s unwilling to share.
Once I’m dressed, I stand and glance over at him. “Breakfast?” I prompt, hoping to break him out of whatever spell has hold on him.
Azriel offers me a small smile, his expression softening as he looks back. “Let’s go.”
We walk in silence to the mess tent, the only sound between us is the crunch of our boots on the damp ground. Azriel keeps his hands in his pockets, his eyes cast downward, while I cross my arms, hugging at what little warmth I can keep. I steal glances at him, trying to gauge what’s on his mind, but he’s unreachable, locked away in whatever thoughts have taken him hostage this morning.
I consider stopping in my tracks, demanding he tell me what’s going on in that guarded mind of his — but that’s now how we are. We no longer pry into each other’s lives like that, even when we used to be closer, more open. He used to though. Once. I can’t pinpoint when that changed, when the distance settled in between us.
As we approach the mess tent, Azriel’s demeanor shifts. The moment he steps closer to the others, he slips back into his role as the High Lord’s spymaster. His back straightens, his shoulders square, and his expression becomes neutral, unreadable. It’s a mask that he’s worn for years, one that fits him too easily now.
But as much as he hides it, I’m grateful that with me, at least, he lets his guard down — if only for a little. Even if he won’t talk about what’s troubling him.
But it also makes me wish, just for a moment, that he would.
We push through the rowdy crowd of soldiers, most of them half-hungover, half-still drunk, as they steal sausages from each other and try to keep from infighting. Azriel walks ahead, and like always, a path clears for him, leaving me to follow in his wake. We spoon our breakfast in silence settling at a long table where I do my best to not inhale my food while Azriel stares into his porridge, his spoon occasionally clinking against the side of the bowl.
I watch him from under my brow, the quiet gnawing at me until I can’t ignore it anymore. I pause, looking up at him. “Az,” I say, breaking the silence.
He glances up, surprised by the interruption and for a moment, I wonder if he’s forgotten I was even here. “What?” He asks, his voice a bit too casual.
“Are you going to eat that, or are you just going to draw pictures in it?” I gesture to the bowl of neglected porridge in front of him.
He looks down at it as if noticing it for the first time. Then, finally scoops a spoonful and brings it to his lips. I watch him, biting back the questions threatening to spill out, but the tension is too thick to ignore.
“Okay, for real,” I finally say, unable to hold back any longer, “What’s going on?”
He pauses, spoon halfway to his mouth, his eyes widen slightly, brows lifting in a poor attempt at feigned innocence. “Nothing,” he replied, the word hanging in the air between us.
I consider letting it go, letting the silence stretch on, but his evasiveness only fuels my frustration. “Stop it with that,” I snap, my voice low but firm. “You’ve been weirdly quiet, you won’t look at me, and you’ve just been playing with your food. So don’t tell me there’s nothing going on.”
My words catch him off guard. I can see it in the way his expression falters, like he’s torn between treating me as a soldier who should know her place and as the friend he’s known for nearly two centuries. But maybe we’ve spent too much time apart, and he’s forgotten that I’m not just another enemy trying to pry into his head. Or maybe I’ve forgotten my place in rank below him.
Regardless, he stares at me, his eyes searching mine for any sign of malice, as if trying to gauge whether I’m pushing out of concern or something else. The silence stretches on, heavy and uncomfortable, and I feel a momentary pang of regret for pushing too hard.
Azriel suddenly hardens, his eyes darkening as his resolve returns, and he retreats behind the walls he’s spent years perfecting. “It’s not your concern,” he says, his voice flat and cold.
My heart jumps into my throat, and I grip the spoon in my hand harder, the tension coiling in my chest. “Azriel, I care about you. Don’t make this into a bigger deal than it needs to be.”
“What? I need to share every detail of my life with you?” His voice is low, each word measured and cutting.
I scoff, frustration bubbling to the surface. “Obviously not, since you don’t share any of it with me anyway.”
“You never ask,” he snaps back, his tone sharp.
I widen my eyes at him, incredulous, “You’re never around!” I shoot back, louder than intended.
“I’m right here!” He retorts, his own fuse burning short. But there’s something about seeing him angry that brings a twisted sense of relief. Anger is an emotion I can handle—an emotion we can share.
“Well, excuse me for not asking. ‘Hi how’s your life?’ when there’s a little war happening. Because that’s the only time I ever see you anymore,” I fire back, my voice shaking with the force of my emotions.
His brows furrow, eyes wide with a mix of frustration and something I can’t quite place. “What do you want from me?”
“I want you to act like you aren’t a stranger right now,” I reply, my voice breaking. “I want you to tell me about what’s bothering you like you know me.”
“There are things I do that I can’t share,” he says, his voice tight with barely contained tension.
“Then tell me that!” I plead, desperation creeping into my voice. “Tell me there are things going on that I can’t know about, and I’ll stop asking!”
“Or you could keep your questions to yourself,” he hisses, the venom in his tone cutting me deep.
“I’m your friend, Azriel!” I say, too much anger lacing my words.
“If you were my friend you’d see I don’t want to talk about this and you’d stop asking,” he replies, his eyes locked onto mine, cold and distant.
I shake my head, a bitter laugh escaping my lips because I don’t know what else to do, what else to say. Tears well up, blurring my vision, though I can’t pinpoint exactly why. Maybe it’s the hopelessness of this argument, or the realization that the gap between us is widening beyond repair. “Fine then,” I say, throwing my legs over the bench to stand.
I don’t know if he watches me leave, but as I push through the tent flap, the tears spill over, running down my cheeks faster than I can wipe away. The cold air hits my face, but it does nothing to numb the sting of his words, or the ache in my chest that feels like it’s splitting me in two.
I barely make it back to my tent before the tears start falling in earnest. As soon as I push through the flaps, my heart feels like it’s burning, my chest tightening painfully as I wrap my arms around myself. My lip trembles, and heat floods my face as I scan the room, desperate for some kind of comfort—but there’s nothing here, nothing to ease the ache inside me.
Finally, I break, a choked sob escaping as I crouch down, trying to curl into myself, as if that could somehow stop the pain of my stomach twisting in on itself. I can’t understand why this hurts so much, why his words cut so deep. I’ve faced worse insults, harsher words meant to wound. But the way he looked at me, the cold distance in his eyes as he reminded me that I no longer have a place in his life, felt like a knife to the heart.
I shouldn’t care. I shouldn’t let it get to me. He’s allowed to have a life outside of me—he clearly does, given that we only see each other two or three times a year. But every time we meet, it’s like no time has passed at all. We fall back into our old routine, as if we’re still the teenagers we once were, with nothing to lose but ourselves.
Maybe I’ve been naïve to think we could stay like this forever. The thought makes the tears fall harder, a bitter realization sinking in. Maybe I’m just a fool, clinging to a bond that has long since frayed, foolish enough to believe he still holds me in the same regard that I hold him.
But no matter how much I try to rationalize it, the truth remains: I’m crying over the Spymaster of the Night Court, a male who just reminded me in the harshest way possible that I don’t belong in his world anymore. I’m a bloody fool, and yet I can’t stop the tears, or the deep, gnawing ache that tells me I’ve lost something precious—something I’m not sure I can ever get back.

glass turtles

Donnie tears off his makeshift gloves with a wet sounding pop, all the air once stuffed in his lungs rushing out of him at like a deflated balloon when he announces to the room in a raspy, tremulous voice,
“I’m done. I’ve done all that I can do.”
Raphael, who’s been standing by his side for the last four and a half hours, has paled, all the green spilling from his skin like a pen that’d long since ran out of ink, his hands shaking like the beginnings of a seizure creeping up on him; Donnie worries for a moment as he watches him carefully, afraid that he might work himself into actually passing out on the floor.
Instead he’s stealing himself, a white knuckled grip on the edge of the steel table in front of them both, wearing a grim smile that doesn’t even make it halfway across his face before he’s soundlessly making his way towards the office chair in the corner and dropping into it with a heavy, shaky breath that sounds like it’s one he’s been holding onto for some time.
“You did good, Don,” comes Leo’s scratchy, raw voice. A chance glance upwards and Donnie would note that his brother's eyes, normally so stoic and sharp and alert were now brimmed with a hue of purple rings, like fresh bruises, tumid from the weighty toll of his newfound grief.
His face is gaunt like he’d dropped about ten pounds of weight in the space of just one night. There’s still pink blood stains smeared sticky across his plastron, crawling up his arms and his neck, drying in three fingered swipes that makes his stomach roll with a sudden queasiness.
He doubts his brother is even aware of it being there, painted across him like that.
“I. Uh. Yeah, thanks,” is all Donnie is able to say in response. He feels void of any possible remaining energy he possesses still. His bones feel heavy like lead, causing his body to bow like a weak, old branch. His eyes tiredly skate across the room. They fall heavy on the cot bed that holds his other remaining brother.
“You need to eat,” Leo says suddenly, appearing at his side in an instant. Or maybe Donnie had just been staring so long that he hadn’t heard him moving towards him, he can’t be sure. His throat is tight and each breath that squeezes past the lump there comes and goes with a tremendous effort.
“M’not hungry,” is Donnie’s quick knee jerk reaction response. He needs to stay. He needs to monitor his brother. Just a few hours ago he had his hands holding together his skull. His brain seeping between his fingers like unset jello. His heart had— his heart had stopped. Over and over again. Donnie couldn’t leave now.
The mere thought of food makes his stomach roll. He can’t eat. He doesn’t think he’ll ever eat again. He’s already made peace with that.
“Don?” Comes Raph’s voice from across the room, tentative and slow. It draws his attention towards him, watching where he’s slumped over in his chair like he’d just woken from a long, restless nap.
“Don, c’mon. Rest. Please.” His eyes are wet with fresh tears, his face already stained from the previous. His hands are still shaking, the tremor working its way through every nerve beneath his skin. Donnie briefly wonders why he isn’t shaking too.
Had he gone completely numb?
He doesn’t get a chance to vocalize his protest a second time, this time hands are moving across his shoulders, making him flinch before he feels the pad of Leo’s thumb work itself in small circles across his scales. He’s guiding him out of the lab before he can try and fight him on it, steered right towards the couch where Raph has already beat them to it with a pillow and a blanket.
“We’ll take turns checking on him,” Leo assures him as he practically pushes him back to sit. “You need to rest, Don. You don’t even need to sleep, just lie flat and close your eyes for a bit, okay?”
As soon as his shell hits the soft plush of their couch, Raph is dragging the old moth bitten blanket up over him, stopping short at his chin. Up close, both brothers have a thick coppery smell about them, and Don supposes he’s probably got the same stink on him too, having failed to wash it off from himself at all.
He doesn’t have the heart to tell them both, though. They’ve been through enough tonight.
“I’ll wake you if we need you,” comes Leo’s empty promise. Don doubts that he will, knowing his older brothers they’ll sit virtue in that lab without him for the sake of letting him rest, but Donnie also doubts he’ll be able to find sleep so easily after tonight, so it will only be a matter of time before he’s joining them.
He simply hums as if to pacify them both.
Raph flips the switch for the main light, blanketing the room in darkness, but with his finely tuned ninja skill, he’s able to watch the shape of his brothers as they shift out of the room, hushed voices only heard with a strained, precise ear.
“What do we do now, Leo?” Comes Raphael’s voice, laced with unbridled fear. It forces Donnie’s gut into a hard, unmoving knot.
“I have no idea, Raph,” comes Leo’s wavering response. “We just wait. Together.”
